Loss Of Light

I sat for a long time. I watched the rippling green floor for a long time. After a while I noticed the ceiling was not so bright anymore. I took a chance and looked up. The blinding light was not there anymore.

Instead, the ceiling was dark. There was a large, white circle with a slight luminescence. All over the ceiling there were small, glowing dots.

What is this? I wondered? The ceiling has changed. I stared, entranced, at the winking lights on the ceiling. So...beautiful. Have I been living in a world where I was hidden from such beauty? I felt the strange wetness falling from my eyes again.

I watched the ceiling with the wetness still flowing. Suddenly I felt something warm on my shoulder. My body jerked away from the intrusion. I looked to where it came from. There was something... I have never seen before.

It opened its mouth and a strange sound came out. I felt my breathing accelerate. There was a strange thundering in my chest. My vision narrowed and suddenly this world went dark.
