"Will you stop freaking out?" We came across a hill, I almost slipped going down. "Yo, this is too steep, man."
"Let's go, man." I said sarcastically making him give me a look.
"We're getting pretty far from the road, guys."
"Almost there." The pulsing slowed down.. then stopped. I guess that's it.
"Is it this thing? Oh. What do you think it is?" He asked us, I looked closing at the rocket thing.
"How would I know?" I looked at Munch.
"You're the scientist in the group." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Why does it look all burnt?" I picked it up, looking closer at the thing.
"Hey, just be careful." I hummed and I swear I saw something glow and hum back. "Careful!" I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Yeah, don't touch that thing. Could be... C-could be.. I don't know, I don't know. A part of a satellite?" I looked at something closely, it looks like it took a hard fall.
"All right, all right, um, Munch, film me while I'm... while I'm touching this thing." I looked at Tucked confused as he pushed me out the way making me drop it and fall into Dawn and Alex. "It's dusty. It's a piece of crap." He picked it up looking at it.
"What?" I glared at him, seriously?
"Forget about it. Just turn the camera off." He threw it down making me more angry.
"Well, it's not a national treasure, but it could be used for something." Tuck scoffed and shook his head, I bent down and looked at it only to be pushed again.
"It's crap leave it alone." I looked at him hurt.
"What happened to filming 'cause it's our last night, huh?" I heard Alex ask as he helped me up.
"Um, in case you haven't noticed, obviously, the map led to squat." Wow.
"Got it. So all you cared about was getting your stupid hits on your stupid video?" I looked at Al as he looked hurt..
"Dude, why don't you just..." I stomped my foot and got in between them.
"Seriously, guys? You choose now to argue. Tuck, what you did was wrong, and hurtful. Using our last night like that as an excuse. We have to stick together, maybe this was a total bust, but we can still make an adventure out of it. We all care about each other, friends or not." I paused and looked at everyone. "You guys are the first people to accept me, even though my past isn't great. You guys are my family." I looked at Al, his eyes soften. "My home. I have no where else to go. All I have close to anything, is the people right here. So please, not tonight." We were interrupted from our moment by a phone ringing. We all looked at Munch.
"It's Alex's mom." Shit.
"Are you serious? Um, it'll be fine. Just, um, be Betty, okay?" Dawn came up to me and smiled.
"That was beautiful." I smiled at her and hooked our arms together. I looked at Al and smiled.
"Oh, crap. Yo, I thought I could do this, but I can't. Maybe you can answer it."
"She just likes to check up on things, okay?" Al said put is arm around my shoulder. "That was beautiful." I laughed and lightly gabbed his rib, making him laugh.
"This is Betty. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. No over." Huh?
"Just hang up." Dawn whispered.
"I said no! No pizzas!"
"Don't yell at her, man." I whispered at him.
"Maybe you and your husband should go to bed." Seriously?
