Unexpected Giyuu X Sabito

Chapter 3/ Visitors

Ugh it's bright. Wait. Where am I?

*Giyuu sits up and looks around the room*

How- how did i end up in my room. I mean I am pretty light. I just can't gain any weight. There's a bowl of water next to be and a cold towel on my head so someone must have taken care of me? I wonder who? Hm. who is that next to- Sabito!? It can't be, he's dead. I must still be hallucinating. If i hit him he'll disappear. Ow. Wha- He's solid. He's real?!

"Yuu?" Sabito asks me

"Wha- How?" I'm still in complete shock. I just can't get this through my head

"I'm alive again..." Sabito says gently while wiping the tears I didn't know had started streaming down my face. He's alive. He's alive. He's alive. He's alive. He's alive...

I jump onto him hugging him and crying even more.

"Shhh. we're both okay now. Don't worry. We'll' protect each other better this time." Sabito says reassuring me. I'm still crying my heart out as I hug him.

"I-I missed you so much. I love you so much '' I manage to say in-between my sobbing.

"I know. I love you too. We'll both be stronger this time" He says calmly.

My tears finally seem to stop pouring. God this is the fastest I've stopped crying ever since he dies. Once I started I wasn't able to stop until I blocked up my emotions. I want to stay this way forever hugging him.

"Yuu. Come on we need to get up. You're sick, you need to eat something then have some medicine." Sabito told me.

"No. I want to stay like this." I really do. I missed him so much

"You're acting like a child." Sabito laughed out

"Fine then" I am not a child. I get off his lap and he helps me up. I hold his hand as we walk to the kitchen. I sit down. Sabito starts making some Okayu for me. It was one of the foods he'd always make when I was sick. I don't eat much in general and I have an even smaller appetite when I'm sick.

"Hello!?" I hear a sickly joyful voice coming from the door. What is Shinobu doing here?

"We're in the kitchen." Sabito yelled. Bleh. Why would he invite her in? She walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning. Well Tomioka you look better then you did yesterday." Shinobu says, with something of a teasing tone.

I don't respond and just put my head down on the table.

"Good morning. Giyuu put your head back up and your food's ready." Sabito stated

I put my head up to see that in fact the bowl of Okayu is ready.

"Thank you"

]I say quietly. Shinobu looks surprised as if she didn't know I had manners. God I hate her.

I start eating at the slow pace I always do.

"So has Tomioka taken any medicine yet?" Shinobu asks Sabito

"No, He'll have some after he eats. It isn't good to take medicine on an empty stomach." Sabito answers her

"I mean he should be fine, I'm guessing he didn't eat dinner yesterday, but he should have had lunch."

I still have half a bowl left but I'm really not hungry at this point. I stop eating and just stare at my food as I listen to their conversation.

"Yuu." Why'd sabito say my name

"Hm" I answer halfly

"When was the last time you ate" Shit I need to think about this.

"Um. Probably the morning before the mission."

"Ara. Ara. He really eats that little?" Shinobu asks still talking only to Sabito

"Yeah. He used to forget to eat all the time. Getting sick just makes that appetite even smaller." Sabito tells her.

This conversation about me is really making me uncomfortable. Do they have to talk next to me?

"Okay. It looks like you'll be fine to take care of Tomioka. If you need something just come to my estate. I'll be on my way" Shinobu finally says. Thank god she's leaving

"Oh but before I go what is Sabito to you?" Shinobu asks.

"He's my boyfriend."

I say without hesitation as I make eye contact.. She looks generally surprised as if she didn't expect me to admit it.

"Bye now" I say. I want her to leave. Go.

Finally she left kind of shaken. Oh well. I hear Sabito start to laugh after she leaves.

"What's so funny?"

"It-it's just..." Sabito's laughing so hard he can't even speak.

I get up and drink the medicine that Sabito brought to the kitchen for me to take after I ate. I sit back down and wait for him to calm down. Just as he was calming down, I hear a knock at the door. I open it. It's Mitsuri and Obanai. The two happen to be dating. Mitsuri is nice to everyone and one of the only hashiras I'm friendly with. I wave to her. For some reason she gasps.

"Tomioka! I brought you some onigiri for a snack to feel better! You look a lot better than yesterday! I don't think I've ever seen you so happy! I mean you're pretty much smiling!" Mitsuri says.

Ah she does happen to talk a lot but i don't mind too much as in exchange she really doesn't expect me to speak. I open the door some more and back up as a gesture that they can come in. Mitsuri almost had to drag Obanai in. I led them to the kitchen. Sabito had finally managed to stop laughing and was leaning against a wall still a little smiley. I sit back down and gesture at the other seats if they want to sit down. Mitsuri sits down while Obanai continues standing off to the side. I look over at sabito and he looks a little annoyed. I give him a look of confusion and worry.

"Yuu can't you use your words?" ah so that's what the problem is

"No thanks'' I see Obanai look a little surprised. Ah right. I don't speak unless completely necessary. Oh well Sabito was always an exception to that.

"So how do you feel Tomioka?" Mitsuri asks. I noticed that she had put the onigiri on the table. I look over at Sabito. He gives me an encouraging smile. Damn I guess I have to speak.

"I'm okay, a lot better than yesterday. Probably equivalent to the day before that." That sounds about right.

"That's good. I'd say you're almost fully back on your feet then?" Mitsuri sounds happy. Damn guess I have to break it to her

"Hm no. I'm still sick. If I went out like this I'd probably pass out again."

"But you killed a lower moon demon in this state" Mitsuri says confused

"Yeah, that was easy. Those are some pretty weak demons." I say actually, now a little tired. It's 12pm? We walked in at 9am. So many human interactions in a span of 3 hours. I need a nap.

"I suppose so, well I hope you get better soon. We should head on our way. I can tell you're tired." Mitsuri says. Thank god. I get up to walk them back out, but I suddenly feel weak getting up and fall. Sabito caught me but I'm shaking now. Shit. I hate it when I like this. I feel so weak and with Mitsuri and Obanai here. I bury my face in Sabito's shoulder adn clutching as his chest. I can tell that there are tears streaming down my face. He's hugging me tightly, thank god he's alive again. I don't know how I've gotten even this far in life without him. I hear the front door open and then close. Wha-? ah They must have walked away without me noticing. Sabito pushes me away a little. Why?! I want to go back to hugging! he wipes my tears off my face- 

"Hey!" I complain. He had picked me up. He carries me to my room.

"Don't act like you can walk right now. Don't complain you're tired anyway."

Mhh I suppose he's right. and warm. So, so, so warm.

*Giyuu falls asleep in Sabito's arms as he's carried to his room.*
