The wind wiped Hazel awoke to see Hope already up. "Whats going on?" Hazel asked concerned. "Hazel! Pack everything up, and hurry! No time to explain." screamed Hope over the wind. Hazel packed up the things into the wagon quickly. Hope signaled for her to get into the wagon, Hazel followed the orders given by her new friend. Hope ran through the storm pulling the wagon behind her. Hazel could tell this would be a great time to duck underneath the blankets. She closed her eyes and tried to remember her mother's face. She remembered her mother's bright green eyes, they stuck out like streetlights on a dark street. She did however remember something else about her mother, she could sing like a nightingale. Her favorite lullaby was "Rest 'till the time comes". It went like this "On a dark night about a year ago was a girl that lost all hope, so she sang this song to fall asleep about a year ago, the girl decided to rest 'till the time came about a year ago, but when the time came they took her away, about a year ago, she cried, and she cried,no one heard about a year ago. Her mother had a burden, that's why I say I'll never let you go." . The reason Hazel liked that song was be'cause to her it was like a fairy tale. She had never seen anything like that happen, for her it was too good to be true. She looked up from the covers and saw Hope running. She had no idea what from, she looked back and saw a great tornado! Hazel screamed, but her scream was drowned out by the wind. She started to cry knowing this would very likely be the last minute of her life. She saw a lady come out of her house, and she summoned Hope to come. Hope was smart, and took the offer she sprinted pulling with lots of force towards the house. The nice lady helped them into a storm cellar. "What the heck are you kids doing out in a storm like that!?!?" the lady that at first seemed to be kind said. "Our mother sent us out to pick up bread from the bakery today." Hope lied. Hazel played along. Hope pulled out some cheese and bread to eat and gave Hazel the same amount. "Looks like you have plenty of bread!" said the lady. Hope looked up at the adult that looked about in her thirty's her very skinny face, and her nose. "It's a wedding present for the.......ummm the neighbor. They spent the rest of the night in the cellar sleeping.
