Recap:

Mina grabbed my shoulders and made up and excuse for us to leave. She guided me to the door and as soon as we were far enough, I groaned in embarrassment and hid my red face in my hands.

"Holy shit that was suck a fucking disaster! I can't believe how much I sounded like a pathetic idiot! What am I gonna do Mina? He's now gonna think I'm some stupid idiot," I said in a stressed tone.

    "Kiri, calm down. You don't even know that guy yet and he's kind of giving me weird vibes. But I can tell that he won't think of you like that," Mina reassured to me. I sighed, knowing that she was right.

    "You're right, Mina," I finally admitted, smiling at my best friend.

    "So...you're the one with the crush this time. Oh I cannot wait to get you two together. Y'all are definitely my new otp," She teased.

    "MINA!" I complained, trying to play fight her. We laughed as we ate our lunch. Alas, I had to leave after school so I can check up on my dad. Kaminari came with me home because his parents aren't the best which is understandable. To my surprise, no one was home again. Which meant just me and Kaminari.

I stood there for a moment before grabbing my spare key and opening the door so me and Kaminari can get inside. My whole house was dark like some kind of ghost town as we walked inside. I made my way to the kitchen while Kaminari got settled in. I grabbed something from the fridge when I hear Kaminari say something.

    "Kirishima...why is your dad at the hospital?" He asked, worried. My eyes widen as I hurriedly grabbed the note from his hands and read:

I'm going to the hospital. There are leftovers in the fridge that you can warm up son.

    "Kirishima, what's going on?" Kaminari asked, clearly begging for answers. I sighed, giving in but not looking at him when I answered, "My mom got sick with something pretty serious, I don't remember nor do I want to know what it is that's hurting her."

    "I'm so sorry Kiri," Kaminari apologized, feeling bad for asking such a touchy subject. I looked at him and shook my head.

    "You didn't do anything wrong Kaminari. You were only worried and I should've told you what was going on instead of keeping it to myself. I just need to be strong for everyone since a lot of people depend on me to make them happy you know." I explained.

    "Is that why you didn't tell Mina?" Kaminari asked. I looked at him with a confused face as he continued, "Come on dude, Mina would've been upset all day since y'all grew up together right?"
