Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read 'Home.' I wrote this piece during my Non-Fiction class I took at university (submitted it as well for my final portfolio.) It's a special story close to my heart, and I'm really proud of it. After writing this piece, I submitted it to a few Non-Fiction magazines hoping someone would read and fall in love with Guyana. Unfortunately, it didn't get the recognization I was hoping for. With that being said, I decided to post it here on WattPad because this is a story I want to share with others. It's homage to my country, my home. Guyana. I truly appreciate your time in reading this piece and I hope you enjoy it.

 Kindest Regards,
Mischa

P.S. After the story ends, I will be posting two additional pieces which are poems. I want this 'book' to be somewhat of a love letter to Guyana. Therefore, I thought including the poems would be great. One poem titled 'Ivy's Eyes' is about my Granny. I read that poem at her funeral when she died. I really can't remember if I had ever sent it to her when I first wrote it. Well, I'm happy and proud I can post it on here. In addition, I included some beautiful songs by Guyanese artists about Guyana.

P.S.S. Just wanted to make a quick note that I'm vegan. SO! Tennis roll with cheese and fish curry would be a vegan version now LOL. Guyanese food is AMAZING! Majority of it is vegetarian, so pretty easy to veganized. Just check out my future story about the Guyanese chef ;-) But to tease a bit I added in some photos!
