ALICE'S POV
"Um - Uh I'm going to get us some drinks, Tyler is taking too long," I said talking her cup not bothering to look up at her.

" Okay," she answered.

I had so many thoughts running through my head.
I couldn't fall inlove with someone who looked exactly like Katherine.
She was the same person, her laugh, her smile, her blush, her attitude, Everything about Amara linked her to Katherine.

Why would Damon compel her to stop using drugs?
Where did he meet her?
If he is back in town, why isn't he showing up?

" HELP! HELP!" I heard two familiar voices which drove me out of my thoughts.
Jeremy and Elena were coming towards the direction of the crowd.

I rushed to think direction and saw that it was Vicki Donavon.
She had a bite wound on her neck.
I looked away because I could easily loose control due to the large amount of blood she was loosing.
I darted my eyes at Stefan who had the same look on his face.
Realization had hit us both.
Now with certainty.
Damon was back.
I saw Stefan leaving and I followed him.

When we reached the Salvatore boarding house my phone rang.
I reached inside my pocket grabbing my phone.
I nodded at Stefan and he procided inside.
I pressed the green button, not minding to check who it was.

" Thank god you answered Alice," the voice was way too familiar.

" What's wrong Amara?
Is everything okay?" I
asked.

" I should be asking you that question. You just disappeared. Were are you?
Are you okay?" She asked clearly concerned.

" Don't worry I'm okay Stefan just had me help him with some stuff," I said.

" Did you see what happened to Vicki tonight?" She asked.

" No what happened?" I asked prending to not be on the loop.

" She just got mutilated by some animal......are you sure you're okay?" She asked again.

" Oh I'm sorry I know That Vicki was your friend.......and yes I'm okay,"I said assuring her again.
There was deep silence between the two ends of lines.

" So you just called to know if I was okay?"I asked deciding to speak.

" Yeah your my friend, and I'm clearly in a shortage of friends, I don't want to find out that my other friend was molested by some animal," she said which made me chuckle.
She did know how to make me laugh in the worried state I was in.

" Okay, see you tomorrow at school," I said.

" Yeah, good night," she before hunging up.

I couldn't believe it,
Would someone just call you to know if you were okay?
All my life I've always been independent,
Although over the years I lived with Stefan or Damon,
But most of it I spent it alone .
So, someone being worried about me apart from My brothers, it was new.

I rushed to the stairs, to try and stop my brothers from killing each other.
When I was about to reach Stefan's door nob, I heard a loud crash that stopped me.
I knew I was late so, the best thing that came out of it was that I wouldn't see Damon.

AMARA'S POV
We were scared out of our minds.
Which animal would have attacked Vicki?
Why Vicki?
She might not have been my favorite person at the time, but still thirteen years of friendship is somethingyou don't just throw away.

I heard the doorbell which drove me out of my thoughts.
When I opened the door I was caught by a smiling Stefan.

" Hey I wanted to check up on you, see if you were okay," he said
He must have thought that I was Elena.
This time I had my hair straightened, it just recembaled Elena.
I blushed at his thought.

" Come in, I'll go call Elena," I said which drove him into realization.
His face was mixed with confusion which made me chuckle.

" You thought that I was Elena, didn't you?" I asked and he simply nodded.

" Don't worry I get that a lot," I said and yelled to come downstairs.
When she came downstairs I excused myself.
The only thought that crossed my mind was on how he looked at me.
The light in his eyes was so bright.
If he only looked at me like that knowing that I was Amara and not Elena.

ALICE'S POV
I woke up feeling someone's breath on my neck.
I shot up from my bed knowing who it was.
The speed I used was effective it knocked down my lamp.
I looked at him cleanching my jaw.

" See you knocked down the lamp, what Zack going to say about it," he said wiggling his eyebrows.

" I should have known that I'd be seeing your face sooner or later at least not yesterday," I said annoyingly.

" That's how your greeting me after how many years?40 years? No hey I've missed you so much," he said while standing up from the bed.

" What do want Damon ? I'm not playing your play little games," I asked getting annoyed by the second.

" I want to spend time with my favorite sibling," he said smirking.
I headed to my closet and removed the clothes I was wearing to school

" Well your favorite sibling doesn't want you here," I told him with an attitude.
I removed my night pajamas infront of him.
I was not ashamed, for starters, he was my brother.

I didn't take a shower since I took one last night and Damon had already ruined my mood.

" Yah heard that, so what's this little life you and Stefan are playing?" He asked.

" We're not playing anything, Stefan needed me and I simply came because he was there when I needed him," I said glaring at him.
His smirk dropped when I glared at him.
His smirk dropped instantly.
Unlike my brother Stefan, I know how to shut Damon up.

" Anyway you seem different, your hair, your clothing, your humanity is off," I said zipping up my leather jacket.

" Thought I needed a little change," he said moving towards my bookshelf.

" You don't look bad yourself........ apart from your humanity," he said flickering through my books.
I didn't dare move an inch of my body.

" What is it that your clinging onto, that makes you not flip the switch," he said tracing his fingertips in my journals.
My breath hinched when he said those few words.

I knew where this conversation was going and I didn't like it one bit.

" Why did you come back? Because of Stefan? no no no no, from what I think its because of this," he said turning around facing me with a picture of Katherine from Eighteen sixty four in his fingertips.
