"I'll take care of him." Schlatt quietly said, not wanting to wake the boy sleeping in his arms. "Is, is his mother going to be okay?"

The doctor put down his clipboard and sighed, gripping it tightly.

"I'm afraid that she may not make it." The doctor finally told him.

Jschlatt stayed silent, just thinking of how his future had crashed down before his eyes so quickly. Not only for himself, but for the boy who was still peacefully sleeping, oblivious to the fact that his mother figure will not exist in his life time whatsoever.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay, I'll, we'll." Schlatt took a deep breath, and shakily let it out. "I mean, he'll, he'll be fine."

The doctor nodded. "I'll be seeing you tomorrow." Then he walked away, leaving the newly found father alone, again.

Schlatt looked down and on to his son, his boy, his little boy. He smiled and sniffled a bit, already becoming a proud father he was.

"I'll be here, Tubbo. You'll be okay."

Jschlatt turned on the lamp as soon as he heard Tubbo crying. He ran to the crib, which could break at an moment now, and picked up his son.

"It's okay it's okay!" Schlatt was trying his darn best to calm Tubbo down. "Papa's here! I'm here!"

Schlatt held Tubbo out, helping Tubbo see their dad better. He stopped crying for a few seconds, but when he heard thunder banging from outside, he started weeping again.

"Oh come on!" Schlatt let Tubbo rest their head on his shoulder as he tried to look around.

He walked towards a desk and opened a drawer. It ended up breaking and Schlatt accidentally pulled the drawer itself out.

"Gosh da-" Schlatt took a deep breath when he remembered his son was still softly crying on his shoulders.

He carelessly threw away the papers in the drawer, and found a fake rose underneath the papers. Schlatt grabbed it in his hand and showed to Tubbo.

"Tubbo! Look!" He sat Tubbo on his very own bed and showed the flower to them. "Flower!"

Tubbo stopped crying and stared at the flower. A sniffed a bit and held one of his hands out for the flower. Schlatt sighed and gave the flower to them. Tubbo happily observed the flower, and noticed that there was a little fake bee attached onto the rose itself.

"Now, go back to sleep bud." Schlatt picked up Tubbo again and gently placed him into the crib.

"Sleep tight, we're going to leave this place tomorrow, bud." Schlatt tucked Tubbo, and stayed there beside the crib.
