I landed on the other side, not as gracefully as her, but I still landed. In the air I felt like a bird in the glorious wind with the shining light surrounding me. I saw my shadow and quickly gained everything that missing in me.
She took my hand and we ran to the top of the tallest mountain. Maybe I was crazy but I looked at her ever shining eyes and kissed her. Her lips waiting for me, I went in and we stayed there for a while.
When I got home I ran to my room and could not shake the feeling of what happened. She was my first love and I wish she would have stayed that way.
We went to school together for the first time and shared our first ice cream after school at the arcade. She laughed when I scored lower than her in a basketball throw game. Her laugh was contagious and so I laughed too.
I did not know I could laugh or what it sounded like. She was the first one to make me laugh. I had hoped we stay like this forever.
I asked her if she would be here like this all of the time and she did not understand what I meant, but in time I had hoped she would. The more I got to know her, she revealed to be a dark horse with a mane of colors of the rainbow.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple all in front of me.
