She sat down on the ground and told me to sit too. We both sat there, no words have been expressed yet and I was still figuring out what exactly to say.
She was my first love, how do you walk away from someone you have loved and laughed with? This is what hurt. I looked into her beautiful eyes that reminded me of the rising sun on a Sunday. She told me to speak.
So I spoke and I said I wondered why me? Why did you pick me out of everyone? I was a nobody, did not have friends, did not have anyone that I knew, but you still chose to date me. Why?
She responded saying because I thought you were different and I like different. I needed some thing cool in my life and you seemed like an adventure I wanted to explore.
I thought to myself though she thought I was different was I just a way to escape or did she not really love me like how I loved her? The memories of her went backspaced in my mind and most of the moments we shared were perfect even if there was one flaw in my mind it was seamless.
I told her that I did not want to be just someone's escape goat from the normal, I wanted to love someone and have that someone love me back sincerely.
She said that three months was not enough for "love" to happen between us.
My heart sank deep into my chest and I could not believe what I had heard from her. That ship that I was floating on trying to find the lighthouse has disappeared in the fog. I was lost and I could not see where I was going anymore.
