It's been almost 2 days since I've arrived at Hogwarts.
It feels like 2 years.
So far I've met the golden trio, and I've made 2 friends, Sybill and Celeste. And, well, I almost kissed someone. Now, I'm visiting that someone at the hospital wing, because they had too much of an ego to let Harry Potter have his moment.
"Oh, hello, what brings you here," A sweet lady with a red and white gown that looks a bit like a maid outfit, asks.
"I'm, ehm, Y/N, and I'm looking for Draco?" I ask fidgeting with my fingers. I've never been great at social interaction.
"Oh, Draco is just in there. He's still passed out, though, but you are welcome to wait if you'd like," I nod, thanking her and head inside. Just as expected, Draco's sleeping like a baby. His silver hair all over his face. I snort.
Who knew Draco slept so deeply?
I move towards the bed and sit down, deciding to wait for him to wake up. "Who are you?" A voice comes from behind me. I turn around to find a girl with short brown hair looking at me with utmost disgust.
"I'm Draco's..friend," I reply. Well, truth be told, I'm not sure what we are. But I don't tell her that.
She scoffs and rolls her eyes. "You are not, in any way, Draco's friend. Now back off, please, I'm his girlfriend and I think, you should leave,"
Draco has a girlfriend? When was he planning to tell me this?
"You don't have any right to speak on his behalf," I say, trying to defend myself and him.
She crosses her arms and laughs, "Well then, we'll just have to see what he does when he wakes up,"
I look back at Draco. He still looks passed out and I don't think I would be able to stay in the same room as this girl for longer than 2 minutes. But then, he starts to move. I look back at the girl, whose face is now filled with concern for the boy.
"What-what are you doing here?" He asks me as he sits up. I guess he's used to the girl being here. I frown but quickly recover, hoping he didn't notice.
"I just, I just wanted to visit-"
"Could you leave?"
"What?"
"Could you please leave?" He asks me for the second time, and I still can't believe my ears.
"You-you want me to leave?" He rolls his eyes. I'll take that as a yes, then. Hurt, I get up from the chair, only to come face-to-face with the girl, who now looks as smug as ever. She takes my seat and her face changes to the concerned one again. I want to puke.
"What are you still doing here?" Draco asks, making me realise I'd been staring at them. My eyes go wide and my face, red.
"Hmph, I told her you'd react this way, but she wouldn't listen," The girl says as she strokes his hair. He doesn't move her hand.
He doesn't move her hand.
I look at him one more time before I start to leave. He's looking straight at me, eyes full of guilt for a second then all that guilt flashing away.
I leave without saying a word, majorly disappointed, and tired. I wave to Madam Pomfrey and thank her again.

"So, then, what did you do?" Celeste asks.
"Nothing..I mean, I left! What was I supposed to do? Fight her?"
"Yes!" Sybill chimes in. "Of course!"
I roll my eyes and laugh. A genuine laugh. "I mean, I would've, but it seemed like Draco didn't want me there either, since he was the one who told me to leave,"
They look at me with pity. "But, I'm fine, he wasn't mine in the first place," It sounds more like I'm trying to convince myself, rather than the girls.
"But he still led you on," Sybill frowns as she says. "I mean, when you guys were locked in the closet I figured-"
"Wait, how do you know about that?" I ask, horrified.
"We followed you, dummy. You're a terrible liar," Celeste says, smiling. I look at them, still horrified.
"Did you hear..anything?" I ask, gulping.
"Why, was there anything to hear?" Sybill teases and they both laugh as I'm sat there, petrified.
"No! Not at all!" I whisper-shout, aware that I wasn't supposed to scream anything at 5pm in Hogwarts. Or at any time at all.
"Sure..." Celeste says, skeptical. "But, why would you think that he definitely didn't have a girlfriend, unless something happened in there...that didn't require talking?"
My face goes red. "Nothing happened! I swear! I just-" I sighed, and ran my fingers through my hair, contemplating whether I should tell them. I mean, by now they already probably have an idea, but I don't want them thinking I would do something like that on my 2nd day at Hogwarts.
"You just what?" Sybill asks, now smiling from ear to ear.
"I tripped and fell on him, and I think he was about to kiss me," I say.
"But?"
"But," I continue, "I...uh...ran away," I sheepishly finish, knowing I was going to be scolded.
"You ran away?" Sybill asks incredulously.
I nod in shame.
"Well that's why then, I assume he thought you weren't interested. So if you are, you should probably go let him know..." Celeste says, and as if Merlin heard her, Draco and the girl from before walk in. I look at the girl, she's clinging on to his arm like a sloth. I then look at Draco. He's looking at me, but then he looks away almost immediately after we make eye contact. I start to feel bad. Letting him know I wasn't interested at all was never my intention. Maybe I wasn't interested in starting a relationship just yet, but I was interested in him.
So, I take action and walk up to them.
