"Doug, Gil-- get the little VKs out of here!" Cried Carlos.

Doug and Gil did as requested and hurried them out, as Hartley was defending herself from Raven's attack.

Jay tried to intercede, but Raven jabbed him in the chin with her elbow.

Raven grabbed Hartley by the ponytail and threw her out of the open front door. Hartley fell to the ground in a roll, causing her hatchet to detatch from the sheath.

Raven jumped on top of her and started to smack and punch her, repeatedly.

Lonnie jumped between them and pulled Raven off of her. Raven took the opportunity to steal Lonnie's sword out of the sheath strapped to her back, and she knocked Lonnie to the ground. Raven ran at Hartley, sword in hand. Hartley dropped low, avoiding the blade. She swept Raven's legs, causing the Pixie to crash to the ground. Raven pushed herself up, and immediately made a bee line for the Princess of Hearts.

"Raven, stop!" Carlos plead.

"Lonnie!" Jay called, and threw her a sword that she quickly caught.

Lonnie blocked Raven's next attack on Hartley.

"Raven, let it go! She's not worth it! This isn't you!" Lonnie tried.

"I'm a villain, Lonnie! This is who I am." Raven snarled, trying to push Lonnie out of the way.

"She's letting the shadow darken her heart!" Hartley exclaimed.

"You! You did this! There is nothing wrong with my heart." Raven accused.

Lonnie lost her footing, as Raven continued to attack. She was thrust back, knocking Hartley down in the process.

Raven was suddenly surrounded in a dark shadow, and black swirls of energy. Her eyes now glowed an icy white, and her hair was turning black and of grim blue and silver.

Carlos stood terror struck, having no idea what was happening.

She looked like evil in carnate.

"Sweetheart, no! Fight it!" Cried Carlos, grabbing her from behind.

Raven pushed him off of her, violently. He stumbled backward.

"So, my side of the bed isn't even cold before you go back to her?" Raven spat, challenging him.

"Raven, I was scared! I was out of my mind, with worry. Hartley was trying to help me.
It almost went too far, but it didn't. I swear!" Carlos confessed.
He was stepping backwards, away from her, with his hands up in surrender.

Raven glared him, so full of rage, words escaping her.

Carlos took a brave step forward, and Raven slapped him in the face, slicing his cheek with her now silver, claw-like, finger nails.

Carlos put a hand up to his cheek, feeling the wetness of the blood, and his eyes widened in shock.

She had never hurt him in anger before.

Raven's rageful expression faded, and it was replaced with a look of pain and hopelessness in her eyes.

Raven became engulfed in shadow and ascended to the sky, disappearing in the swirls of black energy.

Carlos stood, staring at the vacant spot. His eyes transfixed and his mind frozen.

Jay ran over to Lonnie and Hartley, and helped them up off of the ground. Jay took Lonnie aside and held her hands in his.

"That was the bravest, and stupidest thing I have ever seen!" He declared.

Lonnie couldn't help but laugh, adrenaline pumping through her.

"I want you! I want all of you. Today, tomorrow, forever! You're it for me, girl." Jay declared openly, surprising even himself.

Lonnie stood speechless, her eyes searching his face for sincerity. Jay chuckled, genuinely and sheepishly.

Lonnie jumped into his arms and kissed him, fiercely.

Lonnie and Jay. Their timing is terrible. They almost always say the wrong thing. They're impulsive, immature, and stubborn as hell. But both, are strong warriors, and  fiercely protective of those they hold dear. They realized in this scary and chaotic moment, that they had found their match in each other.

Carlos was still standing in the spot he had been, when the love of his life disappeared.
