It was time for the monthly tradition where the Rhodes girls would go out for dinner,

"Hey, love!" Amelia smiled as she saw her daughter walk into the diner,

Amelia never needed the finer things in life,

All she needed was her diner.

"Hi mom," Lillian grinned as she was pulled into a hug

"So how is dance going?" Her mom asked as they found a table to sit at,

"It's good, I'm now partnered up with Oren." The blonde explained causing Amelia to let out a gasp,

"But what about Caleb, you always used to dance with him." Despite him being awful Lillian had to admit that he was a good dancer.

"I guess Mr Costa didn't like us together." The girl shrugged as she opened the menu,

"So you still liking Oren?" Lillian had told her mother everything when she went through her phase of liking him,

"Could we not talk about boys tonight please?" The dancer groaned as she sent her mother a pleaded look,

"Fine but there is one thing that I need to bring up with you." Amelia knew that her daughter was going to be ready to kill her when she brought this up.

"Your father and I agreed that for me to get you for the holidays you have to see him once a month," Amelia explained as she was ready to hear the protests that her daughter was about to come up with.

"But mom!" The girl sulked as the older Rhodes women tried to contain a bit of a smile,

Finding it all rather amusing.

"No honey, it's either this or you spend the holidays with him," Amelia warned as the girl went quiet.

"Fine but I'm not promising to be nice." Lillian knew that Christmas with her father's side would be crap so she was willing to put up with her father once a month instead.

It was late when Lillian arrived back from dinner with her mom,

"What is everyone still doing up here?" Lillian asked as she saw the four girls sat in the main room,

"I'm filing for emancipation," June explained as Lillian stood there with wide eyes,

"Emanci what now?" The Rhodes girl asked as she had never heard of it before.

"Emancipation, it's a divorce from her mom," Neveah explained as the girl nodded,

Neveah realised that Lillian was one of the more genuine people at the school and she wanted to get to know her.

"June are you sure that this is the right idea?" Lillian didn't have a clue what she would do without her mother, because seeing her father really wasn't the move.

"You know you can't really talk," Bette snapped as she now wanted to fuck with the other blonde a bit.

"You don't talk to your father," she pointed out as the Rhodes girl shook her head,

"But that's different, I still talk to my mother." The taller blonde shot back as she crossed her arms,

"I actually don't think you get to have your opinion on this." Bette got up and tried to use a snarky tone to get the girl back in her place but there was only one problem,

Lillian doesn't take orders from others.

"And why's that Bette?" Lillian cocked her head as the girl walked closer to her.

"Because if you didn't dress up like such a slut her mom wouldn't be pulling her out." Everyone who was invested in what June was doing knew that it wasn't the night at the club that was making her leave.

"Excuse me?" The Rhodes girl asked as she let out a scoff,

"You heard me," Bette smirked not realising that it would only encourage Lillian to be snarky

"Bette wait," Neveah tried to interrupt the two but it was already too late,

"I have to say it takes one to know one," Lillian smirked as she looked down at the girl,

"I hate you!" Bette tackled Lillian to the ground not taking into account that the older girl had physical strength,

Meaning that it was easy for her to just flip them over.

"Hey hey hey!" Oren walked out of his room to see that Lillian's fist collided with Bette's cheek,

All the Rhodes kids seemed to have their fathers temper.

"Come on," Oren pulled Lillian off of Bette before throwing her over his shoulder,

"Lennox put me down!" Lillian hit his back as she tried to get off but his grip seemed to be persistent.

"Not happening," the boy shook his head as he walked them into his room and threw her onto his bed,

Shane was out hooking up with someone meaning that the room was empty.

"You going to tell me why you were hitting my girlfriend?" Oren let out a scoff as he looked down at the girl,

"Because she's a bitch who can go rot in hell for all I care." Lillian spat as she tried to get up but was just pushed back down to the bed,

"Rhodes you don't mean that," he sighed as he sat down next to the girl,

"Yes I do, so don't tell me how to fucking feel." She sent the boy a glare as she wasn't about to get off of her high horse just yet.

"I'm old enough to make my own calls and I'm not going to apologise for defending myself," Lillian added as she was too busy to notice that her knuckles were swelling.

"So if you have a problem with that then you can leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out." Oren didn't respond as he took her hand to examine her knuckles as he quickly realised that she needed ice,

"Ow!" Lillian felt a shooting pain in her hand causing her to pull it away from the boy.

"Sorry, let me just see your knuckles again." The boy ran his thumb softly against her knuckles as he looked back up to her.

"You've got to stop punching people Rhodes," there was a hit of amusement in his voice as he looked back up to her.

"But where's the fun in that Lennox?" Lillian joked as she looked at him noticing how pretty his eyes were.

Both dancers were falling and it was just a matter of who was going to admit it first.
