Shu's P.O.V. (First person)
I clutched my right eye.
Lui had struck my scar again with a sharp rock. He grinned at me before leaving me lying on the ground with several other wounds.
Get up. Don't get eliminated.
I stumbled to my feet, leaning against a tree. I was starting to feel better when a message flashed in front of me.
The free-for-all is over.
Valt's P.O.V.
Valt's vision flickered back into the main room.
Beside him, Shu was bloodied and he was covering his right eye. He collapsed. "Shu!" Valt bent by his best friend. "What happened?" "Lui..." Shu answered weakly.
Valt turned to look for Lui, but he wasn't there. "Where is he?" "Eliminated," Ren Wu told him. "Him and Free were fighting for too long on the ground."
"Come on," Valt muttered. "Let's go back to our rooms." He just had finished speaking when his eyes fluttered shut.
The next morning, Valt instantly whipped out his phone.
Game Chat
Valt: Shu? Are you there?
Shu: I'm fine.
Wakiya: Don't wake us up so early.
Daigo: We all woke up at the same time.
Ken: Yeah. These are the settings of the game.
Server: Enter the main room to know what went down last night.
Valt turned off his phone and left his room. He knocked on Shu's door first, which swung open after the first knock.
Shu didn't look much better from last night, but he was bleeding anymore. "I was just about to go." "Then let's go!" Valt exclaimed.
When they arrived in the main room, Valt got another message from the game.
Game Chat
Server: Last night, three people died.
Ren Wu was killed by the Assassin.
Ukyo was killed by the Secret.
Yugo was killed by the accomplice.
Valt: Xander, you okay?
Xander: I'm fine.
Server: Time to vote!
Server: Make some last minute discussions and then cast your vote.
Daigo: ... Why now?
Server: Voting time!
Valt - 0
Shu - 0
Ken - 0
Honcho - 0
Daigo - 0
Wakiya - 0
Xander - 0
Server: No one voted, so no one will be eliminated.
Daigo: We can't afford to lose anyone else, not if we want to make it through the game.
Shu: He's right.
Valt: Have faith you guys!
Valt: If the Magician is still in the game, then tonight maybe they'll revive one of the dead!
Xander: Hopefully.
Ken: Who do you think they should revive?
Valt: Cuza!
