Ong And Nika

Promise

"What? Why?" I asked shockingly.

"I don't know, i called him to apologies and told him the situation why i was not able to attained his calls. He said nothing to me and asked you to called him instead" Tina replied
"Should i tell this to Suketu sir?" she asked me
"There is no use of it, that jerk will toss it to me again" i replied with annoying face.

"Send me his number, I'll talk to him.. May be he wants to know the procedure of termination of the contract" i said while looking at my laptop. I don't want to see her sad face.

"Okay" she said and left my cabin.

Does he really want to terminate his contract, if he does then she really have to leave the office. I wish i could do anything for her, why the hell this day is not ending. I thought while looking Ong's number that Tina sent me.

"I'm hungry, I want to eat something, why i need to handle this.. I just hate that Suketu" I curse him while calling Ong.

He picked just after two rings.

"Hello, Mr. Ong?"
"Yes Miss Nika, Ong this side." he replied
"Oh, how do you know its my number" i asked
" I have True-caller app miss Nika" he replied with his calm voice.

I wonder what he want to discuss with me, he is not angry anymore..

"Oh yes, indeed you are smart" i said unconsciously.

after a sudden silence i realised what i said.. Nika what are you saying, are you out of your mind i scold myself in mind.

"uhh " I clean my throat and asked " Oh Mr. Ong you asked me to call you, is there something you want to discuss?"

"Yes miss Nika, i thought about what you said earlier. I don't know if you said that just because you want to save your colleague or you was being sincere." he said

I have no idea what is he talking about, is he talking about my apology?

"Oh yes Mr. Ong, i was sincere when i asked for an apology, i know we were wrong." I said.
"Not about the apology Miss Nika, i'm talking about your promise you made earlier" he said.
"Promise?" i asked
"Miss Nika i think you forgot you said you will do whatever it takes as apology, i don't know if you mean it or you just said it without any thoughts" he asked with an annoying voice.

I just remember, he is right i said it without any thoughts but i need to cover it now else he would get angry.

"Ofcourse i do remember Mr. Ong, i said we will do whatever it takes to help you and ofcourse i mean it" I replied.
"Whatever it takes?" he asked again with more empathise.

What is he thinking, what does he mean with everything? What he want me to do? I hope he did not get the wrong idea i thought to myself.

"Mr. Ong, is there anything you want me to do?" I asked straight
"Yes Miss Nika, You said we still have tomorrow's time, I thought about it and i think we still have hopes, i dont know how it will come out but i don't want my fans to go without seeing my performance, so i'm trusting your words again, i hope you would not let us down again" he said in his serious voice like he was asking me to ensure him.

"Mr. Ong we are really great full that you gave us second chance, i assure you we will do our best and Tina will help you in the concert till the very end, don't worry she is an experienced employee she knows how to manage everything. She will visit you tomorrow and talk about the concert." i assured

"Tina?" he asked "Miss Nika i want you to handle this, you are the one who made the promise, i can understand you trust Tina for this but i don't want to risk again with my concert"

"Mr. Ong even though i'm her manager but my department is different, if you don't want Tina to handle this then don't worry, we have other experienced manager we will assign the most experienced one." i assured him.

"See Miss Nika, i'm saying this again, i do not trust on others please settle how you will manage this in your company and visit tomorrow at 7am at First step stadium. See you tomorrow and don't be late. We have a lot of things to do tomorrow. Bye Miss Nika i have to go for practice." and hung up. He said this in one go leaving me confused and speechless on my chair.

"what's wrong with this guy, how dare he hung up on me without hearing my answer and why would i manage this, that's not even my department. What does he think he is?" I said loudly with frustration. "I need to talk to Suketu about this. He need to handle this by his own, i'm not doing this anymore."

I asked Meeta to arrange an urgent meeting with Suketu and Tina.

In meeting room:

I told everything to Suketu but he is so calm about it which makes me more furious.

"Suketu you need to step in this, this is not my department and if he don't want Tina to hande this then we can send someone with more experienced, there is no need me to go. Please talk to him. Moreover i have my own work to do before my timelines." I said with annoyed tone.

"Nika i think you should go and handle this"
