Chapter 8

Chapter 8 (Adelaide's P.O.V)

"Casey does this make my..." Casey stopped me before i finished the sentence by saying.

"Adele if you even dare finish that ugly ass sentence i shall beat you till u swell." She said as a devil like crazy smile grew on her face. I held my hands up above my head as I gave up to her judgment.

"Wow okay Cas calm down i shall not finish that sentence just for you". We both laughed as i fell on my back upon the bed at the same time as Casey fell back from sitting on the edge of bed. " Cas what em i gonna do tonight?"

"Adelaide you have bigger more important questions u need answers to." She said while rolling to her side and bending her arm to lend her head as she spoke to me. "You need to figure out whats up with Danny, why he is so distant from you lately. 

I was still looking at the ceiling when i questioned the truth in her statement. She's right he has been ignoring me. I thought he didn't walk home with me today cause Casey was with me. Than thinking about it he hadn't said a word to me since the bus trip to school. Wait what if he hates me after we spoke about Hayden and the date tonight. What if i completely weirded him out, like guys don't usually like talking about that stuff.

"HELLO Adelaide... Are you still on this earth.. ADELAIDE??" It wasn't untill the last yell of my name did i realised i've zoned out for the past moment. Casey had sat up and snapped her fingers before i awoke from the Nightmare of drama that was on my mind.

"Sorry Cas." A moment passed as she fell back on the bed next to me and we continued to stare endlessly into the white hope full ceiling above. "Casey.. why do boy's have to be so difficult to understand sometimes and why do they have a need to be clingy one minute and distant every other minute?"

"Adele that one i don't think anyone can answer honestly or completely unbiased. They have a mind of their own and i don't think they truly understand the delicateness of a girls heart. But babe we got to get you ready for this perfect date tonight."

I had tried on a number of dresses including one's that others consider clothes that your mum would pick out for you. I walked out in a simple sky blue, white lace covered, flowing dress. And to make myself look mature and sensible i through on a cream cute blazer with my sleeves rolled up. Casey gasped as i came out. I ran back into my walk in wardrobe letting out a huge scream thinking that she hated it 100%. 

"Adelaide what on earth are you doing?" I came out slowly and dropped to the floor in the middle of the room letting a well earned tear fall down my embarrassed pink cheek. Casey rushed over and knelt down in front of me.

"Ohh baby don't cry, I'm the one who should be crying..." 

I pushed in a loud sob over the ending of her sentence and cried out, "Ah i knew it u hate this one. Yet another one i can't wear. I'm never going to be ready."

"Adelaide its the complete opposite, you made me so proud, you looked stunning and Hayden is one lucky boy." Casey held both my hands and lifted me to my feet. "I know what will complete this perfection." She walked towards her bag of clothes grabbing something large and turning around quickly before i could see. Taking steps towards me i whipped the now pointless tears away from my chin and cheek. She brought around from her back a pair of her Jimmy Choo naked tan heels. As i put them on i couldn't believe she has lent these shoes to me these are her all time favourite shoes. I lend forward to give her a massive hug rapping my arms around her neck squeezing tight to show me appreciation for the shoes. When we pulled away she looked at me and said "As tradition since we were kids Adele." Reaching behind her head swapping away her long brown shiny hair to one side of her neck as she unlatched our friendship necklace. Hers is a jelly sandwich with a peanut butter love heart in centre and mine opposite, peanut butter sandwich with jelly love heart. Its an old joke that lasted.

I reached behind my neck and unlatching mine. Switching the necklaces has been a good luck symbol for the two of us since we were 6 and became friends. We stood their smiling at each other before Casey said "Perfect." Simple but such an encouraging and supportive word.

While last finishing touches were being made my door swung wide open followed by two small but annoying sisters. "Adelaide you look amazing." A smile across my sisters face and Casey sister Lexis nodded with agreement. 

"Adelaide your going to knock Hayden down with how perfect you look." Lexi than quickly grabbed a  teddy bear i had on a shelve. It had Square glasses and a plaid vest covering his light brown fur. "OH MY GOSH Cas i want a teddy bear like this. Its so cute."

"Lexi you already can hardly sleep in your bed at the moment your surrounded by all size and some crazy, creepy looking animals. But sorry guys we need to get this princess out and on this date." Casey jumped up and grabbed my purse and phone and held my hand as she walked me to my car. "Goodluck baby girl go blow his socks off."

Danny's P.O.V

"I'm going to be there for her Kyle, i'll blend in the background. I need to be if anything goes wrong. I can't stop thinking about the date anyway its not going to matter."

"So what mate your just going to walk in the joint sit in the background and stalk them all night. Dude we talked about this you need to man up and move on. She picked him, Danny She picked him,"

I looked up to kyle and took a breath. "I can't not I have to be there, she'll never know im there. I have doubts about Hayden he doesn't usually date real girls, honest girls. She is like pure China, you tell her the wrong thing she will shatter. I need to be there to pick up the pieces."

Okay readers been a long time since i uploaded hope you all had a safe Christmas and new years.
