Chapter 33

*New Years eve*

Natsus pov

It was the eve of New Year's Day in Magnolia. We all know how they have their festivals yearly and have never failed to have one it's a tradition that has been running in this small town for generations. We are just preparing early and setting everything up today for tomorrow which will be super crowded tomorrow. They are exciting especially since I get to eat a lot. This year Lucy is even running a food booth. She's making her delicious homemade strawberry cakes with all natural ingredients she keeps on telling me. Once Erza finds out about that there may not be any cake left. I wanted a slice too so Erza must never now. She has a scary and uncontrolled addiction to strawberry cake. I check on Lucy who's been baking up a storm since four in the morning. I want to help her a but since she's probably exhausted and carry the already packaged cakes to her car. 

Once I'm back in the kitchen I box the ones that aren't boxed. "Babe I'll be back I'm going to set up to the booth for you" I tell her. My beautiful wife er I mean fiancé we're not married yet sadly walks out of the kitchen braiding her hair in a French braid down one side. "I can do it she says. A couple of her up-and-down not believe in her. "Yes I'm perfectly capable of putting up a tent and some chairs." I explain to her that I know that I'm just worried about her and the baby getting hurt. She crossers her arms not looking happy I think that she's going to object for a second until she finally mumbles "fine." 

I mean I didn't need her permission to do that I just didn't want her to be mad at me over something as silly as that.  "Thanks babe love you" I called to her grabbing my keys "we love you too" she said smiling with a hand on her stomach causing me to gush at the adorableness of that situation. At least until I walk out the door forgetting to do something. "Hey!" My extremely hormonal and majorly pregnant girl says. I turn around and see her waddling down the steps holding the rail in a death grip walking towards me. "Where's my kiss? She demands with her hands on her hips standing right in front of me all of a sudden.

I wa gaping to walk over to her so she didn't have to come down but she was too fast for me. I shake my head at myself for forgetting that. Ever since she got pregnant she's been all touchy freely and a lot more horny and stuff lately. I mean I like it though but it constantly leaves me wanting and frustrated. I just mind the more emotional parts like the crying but it's ok I still love her. "Ok you can go now" she releases me from the hug smiling after we already shared a long passionate kiss.

- time skip to after Natsus done setting up her booth-

Lucy's pov

It's getting late fast but Natus told me to meet him by the river. Also to wear something blue so here I am in a sparkling blue dress.(see media above)  I gasp at the sight in front of me there's a sparkle in the river in front of me with the waterfall. There are dewdrops on the trees that are falling slowly and some are clinging to the branches. The trees are glowing and the stars are out so the sky is no cloudy it's clear. It's just a beautiful night overall. There in the middle of all of it is Natsu in a tux. He's bent down on one knee smiling waiting for me to say something and notice him. He found a creative way to propose to me with something very special to both of us as kids.  It's of the periodic table that we made ourselves when we were younger. 

You could tell that we were major nerds the roses just happen to be my favorite flower in the whole world and candles lighting the walk from the car to Natsu. Just as I think it can't get any better he pulls out his guitar to sing. He just keeps on pulling surprises left and right that continue to amaze me. I don't think I've ever heard him play before so I'm very excited about all of this. He sits down on a stool that he set up and before he starts he says a few words. "Lucy Heartfillia  there are no words describe you or how I feel about you but I can sure as hell try. In my favorite way of expressing my emotions singing.

At the end of all the songs I'm a crying ugly, mess. My makeup is streaming down my face and I'm sure I have snot all over me. I'm am not desirable in any way I don't know how he could want me and to top it all off I'm pregnant. "So what do you say Luce?" He asked me. I nod my head and then say "yes" so loud I think everyone in all of Magnolia heard. He places the ring on my finger which is very beautiful. Its a perfect  fit and he spins me around in the air but carefully with the baby.I look down feeling like I just peed my pants when in fact it's something else entirely. I know that this will ruin the moment so I don't know why I even try but I do try not to ruin the moment. "Um Natsu I think I my water just broke" I tell him sheepishly.
