Dear Diary,
Hayden has been doing better. It's a slow process, but he's getting there. I think my suggestion of getting milkshakes at Cloud 9 helped. Mama's milkshakes make everything better. Anyway, in other news, I'm just now realizing that Braden seriously asked Josh if he and I were making out in the shed. I'm starting to think Braden knows something I don't... Moving on, last night Josh woke me up during a nightmare and he called me darling twice! I don't think he realizes that I noticed, so I'm not gonna say anything but oh my god I loved it. I want him to keep calling me that...
It had been quite a few days since Amelia and I had our falling out when she finally started showing up to school. On Monday, she arrived at homeroom a few minutes late. Her eyes widened when she realized the seating plan had been changed, and that she would be sitting right next to the teacher's desk.
"Oh, my god, Dosia, look at her face!" Hayden laughed, covering his mouth to not make too much noise.
I turned my head slightly to see Amelia's cringed face, clearly dissatisfied with her placement. Her head began to move in my direction as she scanned the room in search of something that would tell her why the seating plan had changed. When her eyes landed on me, right in the middle of the boys, her face changed to confusion.
I looked her up and down, shrugging sassily before turning back to Josh, laughing slightly.
"She looks so pissed," Lukas commented.
The seven of us laughed, much to Amelia's dismay. I ignored her, though. As I had said during our fight, if she wants to act like a stranger, I'll treat her like a stranger.
"Amelia, what's wrong?" The teacher asked as Amelia sat down.
"Nothing," Amelia grumbled, probably feeling defeated.
A few snickers could be heard around the room, to which Amelia groaned. Josh shook his head, a small smile on his face. I smiled as well.
Some minutes later, the bell went, allowing us to leave the classroom. Josh and I already had our stuff for English, so we stayed seated while the rest of the boys left to go to their lockers. When the class was almost empty, Josh turned to me.
"I'm in charge of dinner tonight, anything specific you'd like?" Josh asked.
I shrugged, "Hm, how good of a cook are you?"
"Well, I'm no Gordan Ramsey, but I like to think I'm pretty good," Josh joked in response. I laughed, rolling my eyes.
"Okay, what's your favourite meal we've had since you moved in?" Josh added.
I thought about it for a minute, before remembering how much I had liked the shepherd's pie we had the previous week.
"Definitely the shepherd's pie," I smiled.
Josh smiled widely, "Hey, that's my favourite too!"
Before we knew it, students began entering the classroom again as the bell went again.
"Josh, Dosia, can I talk to you guys outside?" The teacher asked us quietly as she approached us. I glanced at Josh, raising my eyebrow. We nodded, getting up to follow her outside.
"So, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard you talking. You two are living together?" she whispered once we were outside. I pursed my lips as I nodded, looking down slightly.
"Yeah, Doe's been staying with my family for, what? Almost two weeks? Something like that," Josh explained.
"May I ask why?" Ms. Zurita asked, looking at us with concern.
