Liz

It was another normal day in the Anderson- Urie household.

El was at a friend's house, and Bren was at work.

I was nearing my 39 week mark, so little dude could come at any given moment.

I felt a sharp pain but thought nothing of it.

All of a sudden, it really started to hurt, making me begin to hum as a way to distract myself from the pain.

I felt a gush of liquid, and that's when I realized that I was going into labor.

I grabbed my phone, immediately calling Bren.
"Hey Princess, you okay?", he asked.

"Bren, I need you to come home.", I said, hissing after a contraction hit.

"Did your water break?", he panicked.

"Yeah, I think so.", I replied, hearing him tell everyone he was leaving.

"Baby, stay on the phone with me okay?", he said.

"Alright.", I replied.

He started singing to me in an attempt to keep me calm while I heard him start the car.

"All the bags are packed, right?", he asked.

"Yeah.", I replied, groaning after a really bad contraction.

"I'll be there soon lovebug, sit tight.", he assured me.

I nodded, despite the fact that he couldn't see me.

"I'm pulling up onto the street, I'll see you in two minutes.", he said before hanging up the phone.

I heard the door open and saw him walk in.

He quickly put on a Beatles T-shirt and some sweatpants.

"Come on, up you get."

He picked me up and put me in the car.

He quickly grabbed the bags and put them in the trunk.

He got into the car and started driving.

I groaned every now and then, gripping onto the seat.

He called El. "Hey Bren, everything okay?", she asked.

"Meet us at the hospital, Liz is going into labor.", he replied.

"Give me 10 minutes.", she said before hanging up.

We soon got to the hospital and he checked me in, before getting me a wheelchair.

They wheeled me into a room and they gave me an epidural since I was 5 centimeters.

El ran in.

"Liz, oh thank goodness you're okay.", she sighed.

"I feel awesome!", I said, mouth full of ice chips.

"It's the medication.", Bren assured El.

She nodded.

A couple episodes of Glee, contractions and crying later, it's time to meet Max.

Bren was holding my left hand and El was holding my right hand.

"Holy hell, I can't believe we're doing this.", I whispered.

Bren kissed my forehead. "You've got this, we're here for you."

"Alright Mrs.Urie, can you do one teeny tiny push for us?", the nurse asked.

El looked down at the floor.

I pushed softly, sighing in relief after 30 seconds.

"Great job! We're gonna have you do those until we're ready to let you do bigger ones, alrighty?", she said.

I nodded.

~time skip to when Max is about to come out~

"Alright Elizabeth, another big push for us, you got it!", the nurse yelled.

I pushed so hard, beginning to tear up.

"You're right there, princess, come on.", Bren whispered, kissing my forehead.

"I can see the head! One more big one and you'll get to see your baby boy!", she yelled again.

I pushed and screamed at the pain.

All of a sudden, I heard loud cries, making me burst out sobbing.

"We have a baby now Bren.", I whispered.

He kissed my lips softly.

"I'm so proud of you, good job, baby."

They quickly cleaned him up before putting him on my chest.

They put a small white and blue blanket on his back to cover him up.

A few hours later, I had gotten up from a nap and Max was being super fussy.

I quickly fed him, burped him and cuddled him some more.

I grabbed a chair and we sat by the window.

"Hey, baby. You see that?", I said, pointing out the window.

"That's Los Angeles. That's your home.", I finished, kissing his forehead softly.

I sang Northern Downpour to get him back to sleep.

Having a kid is a hassle, but a blessing.
