Kevin and Jose spent their holidays at home. Jose was an amazing chef who owned a restaurant, so he thought that he should work on a gingerbread house, along with his boyfriend Kevin. Jose made the batter and baked them while Kevin did the easier ones – he made the icing and coloured them after. After taking out the gingerbread house pieces, they began stacking them together to form a cute house decorated with cute candies.
After a while, they were finally done with making the house! Satisfied with the look, the couple couldn't wait for the rest of their families to see their creation. It had a sweet scent of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla – very fragrant. They pipped the coloured icing on the roof, and later added some icing powder to create a snow effect.
Jose looked at the completed gingerbread house. Something was... missing. But what?
He took out the tray of freshly baked gingerbread men and tasted one – it was perfect. Suddenly, he thought of what was missing in their gingerbread house. He quickly piped moustaches on both gingerbread men, and added some candy on their candies to form a colourful sweater and a pair of pants. On the candy "sweater", Jose used some chocolate to write the letters "K" and "J" on the cookies.
"Kevin hon, this is you," Jose said, taking up the gingerbread man with the letter "K" on its sweater. Then he took the other one with the letter "J". "And this is me."
Kevin gently took the cookies from Jose and carefully placed them at the entrance of the gingerbread house. "And here's us together living in a gingerbread house."
Jose laughed at the adorable sight and hugged Kevin tightly.
"Life is sweet with you."
