|This chapter will be from the point of view of Cameron (Cammie) Rose Applebee.
Most school children - most but not all - love Fridays. Mostly because they can go home and enjoy the weekend, some children hate Fridays because they hate being at home.
For me Friday is just another day in the life of Cammie Rose Applebee (me).
I walk home from school, like I do every single day. I tidy up after my family, like I do every single day. And like I do every single day, I do my homework and go to bed.
Saturdays and Sundays sometimes differ from the rest of my week - from the rest of my life. We might go for a walk or I might take my little sister Miley swimming.
Most of the time spent doing these activities I am amazed at how different they are from the rest of my week, and what I would be doing on a 'Normal' Saturday. So the time is wasted.
Today I pack my school bag as usual, and I tie my shoelaces at exactly ten minutes past eight. I walk to school, eating soft mints on my way. Like normal.
But as I walk into the classroom I notice something very, very different.
The once empty seat next to me is now occupied,
By a boy.
"Jack Hall", he says to me - offering his hand to shake.
"Cammie Rose." I reply but I leave his hand hanging.
He nods and we listen to the register.
"Cameron Rose Applebee." The teacher called.
"Here miss." I answer.
"Ha, I knew you didn't tell me your real name!" The boy announces in a sing song voice.
"I told you my nickname, John Hall-Daniels." I reply in a bored monotone.
He looks shocked.
"H-How did you know that?" He splutters.
"I know all." I say and I see frustration burn in his eyes, quickly replaced by a look of amusement on his face. We both laugh. Sometimes the truth can be so funny.
"So, Cammie. I've got maths next, what about you?" He questions.
"You must be in set two, set one have physics. But yes, I have maths too. In roon A4?" I say, and seeing him nod I show the way.
