Me Or Them

"Don't tell me your actually considering it Jen?!"

"What more do we have to lose Lis? we've been fighting this for a year. We need some sort of hope. And if this is what it takes then I'll accept it"

Lisa scoffed, her grey eyes a stormy colour as she walked away

"Well if you want to, then do it by yourself. Its me or them Jen."

Jennie stood there in shock, not understanding why her girlfriend was acting like this. Hot tears ran down her muddy face.

Did she really just say that?

Jennie would never , could never choose anything over Lisa. 

 She wouldn't unless it could secure her lovers survival 

She wouldn't really leave her would she? She always said she loved her and supported her decisions no matter what  it was. 

 Fat tears started to drop down her cheeks but there was no one to see them, none the wiser. She fell onto the bed face first. 

She wept, hot tears soaked into the sheets leaving damp evidence but the proof was written on her face; crying was hard to hide. When the door opened she knew she'd have to talk to someone. 

Kai gently asked, "Are you ok?"

"Not really."

The group sat at the table. Jisoo had a plan to get them into a new part of town, known for it's horrendous amount of creatures. Some they had never even seen.

"You guys heard of that infection? The one that apparently turns you into a Adelt?"

Jennie nodded while the rest of her group sat confused.

"yeah, C56 right?"

Jisoo nodded and pulled a handful of vials out of her pocket

"They don't do that. We raided the science lab. The notes.  It basically said that people with extraordinary skills, drink this" She tapped the vial in her hand and smirked

"Well, they basically excel in their skills."

Jennie leaned forward, curious about this

"Like the legends?"

"Exactly. I don't remember the na-"

"Kiecotta. They are human like fighters. Known to be the protectors of the gods and all that. Killed off by a mass destruction of their worlds." Jennie said, cutting off Jisoo. 

Jisoo smiled, her eyes sparkling. 

"Yeah. The plan was to-"

Lisa scoffed and slammed her hands on the table, causing everyone turn towards her.

"Your plan, is to give us that stupid vial, that could potentially kill us. Or even worse, turn us into one of those things out there?"

Chaeyoung shrugged her shoulders

"Well, technically only Jennie is the worthy one"

Lisa's eyes widened

"What! No! Your not risking any of our lives for you stupid plan!"

Irene jumped up and faced Lisa directly as Jisoo reassured Jennie silently that she was safe. 

LISA POV

She steps forward, until I'm close enough to examine her eyes. Spots of red and black bombard her brown eyes.

Her breath hot and murky as she speaks

"We're all infected here."

Her smirk grows dangerously as her teeth begin to sharpen at the tips. 

Fear possesses me as I step back, hitting my back off the chair behind me.

"J-jen. A word?" I ask, trying not to let any emotion leak into my voice. 

"Sure. Lets go Lis."

Jennie walks past Irene, eyes narrowed as she grabs my hand, her hand touches mine and it instantly calms me. The softness of her skin, the electrifying sense it gives me. I smile softly as she pulls me gently into the room and shuts the door. 

The feeling is instantly lost when I see her thinking in the corner of the room. I leave her to think as I analyse her silently. Her eyes dull when she reaches a conclusion. 

My eyes widen in disbelief

"Don't tell me your actually considering this Jen?!"
