At lunch I saw Tikki trying to get my attention. "I'll be back" I said. I ran to the bathroom "what?" I asked. She handed me something I didn't think I use for at LEAST 3 years " tikki. I'm 15" I told her. My 16th birthday wasn't for another 6 months. (A/N: the age of consent in paris is 15. So it's legal)
"So. That doesn't mean anything. Take the test what could it possibly hurt?" She asked.
" my relationship with... Everyone I know. " I said. Scared of what would happen if the test were to come out positive.
"Just. Take. The. Test." She said. We were in a staring contest for about 5, 10, 15 minutes. About. I sighed in frustration
"Fine" I said still glaring at her. I set my purse ( which still has her in it) on the bathroom sink while I took the test. I could feel myself shaking horrified of the outcome of this. What if it came out positive? What would I do? What would my parents do? What would I tell Adrian? Then there's Adrians dad. How would we tell him? What would he do? Would he be supportive or tell me I can't see Adrian anymore? And chloe and lila would ruin my life over it. "No, no. No. NO. No!" I said looking at the positive pregnancy test. I look at Tikki who had the same terrified face on as me.
" Mari? " she asked.
"Oh no. No." I felt a tear roll down my check . I'm not sad it came out positive but I'm scared. Scared of how my parents and friends will react. Scared of how Adrian's gonna react. Scared of how Adrians father will react. And terrified. Terrified of whether or not I can be a good parent. I look at Tikki who was wiping my tears. "Tikki?" I asked
" don't worry mari. Everyone will be so happy and supportive. And you're an awesome babysitter. I have a feeling you'll be an even better mother. " she reassured me. I smiled at her
"Thanks." I looked back at the test in my hands. " Wow" I said "I'm pregnant"
