I struggled to open up my eyes and once I did I instantly regretted it. I was welcomed by the bright rays of the sun was seeping through my window and blinding the shit out of me.
I squirmed back and groaned.
"Are you alright?" I turned to look on the other side of my room and Damien was comfortably sitting on my couch.
"Yeah" my voice came out hoarsely, "Can I get water?"
He quickly grabbed a glass and poured water out of a jar for me, "Here"
I gulped down the water hurriedly. It felt like I hadn't drank water in ages. I placed the glass down on my drawer and turned back to him.
"Thanks, what happened?" I asked.
"Well you arrived home drenched in water, and you were shaking" he explained, well I remember that part, "then you passed out, and I took you up to your room and called a doctor"
"Ohh, well what did the doctor say?" I said whilst playing with my fingers.
"A high fever, from walking in the rain" he looked at me and got up to take a seat by me.
"Why'd you do it? Why did you walk in the rain?" He asked. I looked at him, he was wearing his clothes from yesterday and he seemed restless, did he spend the night here?
"Uhh, I thought you'd show up at the café so I told Colt not to pick me up.... When time had passed and I realized you wouldn't show up I left, and mid journey the rain started" I replied.
I didn't miss the guilty look that flashed on his face once I had finished explaining. He turned away from me and ran his hands through his auburn hair. Oh that gorgeous hair, I would kill just to touch it.
"I'm sorry, I did get your message, I was busy and I lost track of time. Once I realized I was late I rushed to the café but you weren't there so I came to your home instead" He said with his head hung low.
So he did show up, but right after I left. Gosh I am so stupiddd!!! Couldn't I have waited for a minute at least?!
"Ohh, well it's all in the past now, although I do have one question, did you sleep here?" I smirked at him
With that, his head popped up and he laughed, "I did, I fell asleep on the couch"
"That must've been so uncomfortable, I'm sorry" I said and he shrugged it off.
"At least I was around when you woke up" he countered with a smile. "You wanted to talk?"
Ah shit, the whole reason we ended up in this mess.
"Yeah, but can we freshen up and meet up at the Parlour instead? I'm craving ice cream" I confessed.
"Okay, I guess it's my cue to leave, my mom must be so worried right now" he laughed and so did I.
I walked him to the door, "Pick me up at 2, pretty boy"
"Okay Princess" I missed that.
As he turned to leave I called out for him and gave him a hug, he is about two inches taller than me so I had to stand on my toes to hug him properly.
"Thank you for not leaving me" I snuggled into his neck and took a whiff of him, he still smells like wood and mint. I wonder what cologne he uses.
I quickly pulled away and composed myself, "Bye Dami" and with that he was off.
It's going to be a long day, I'm going to tell him something I've not told anyone in years. I just hope he doesn't judge me for it.
I ran up the stairs and went to do my new lazy morning routine -I make up routines almost every day- which consists of playing video games on my mobile phone whilst sitting on the toilet, getting up a few minutes later to sing and dance in the shower, then getting ready.
