Studying. Leorio has been at university to fulfill his biggest dream, becoming a doctor. And give to poor people a chance to be healed without any money. Since he became a hunter, he didn't train that much about nen, he was focused on his main goal. He has great skills, but still wasn't as powerful as Gon, Killua and Kurapika. And since some months, he didn't take care of himself, physically and mentally. Being too focused on something could drive people crazy. In fact, the reason why he spent so much time working so hard wasn't only because of studies. He wanted to forget. Forget something that was also driving him crazy, more than he could imagine. For now, he was about to leave school, it was the end of the day, and as usual, he was overworked and worn out. But he didn't pay any attention about that. Work, the only word he has in mind. As he made a first step outside the huge school, he felt a fresh breeze, and a tiny smell of... blood? He looked down his white shirt, stained with the reddish liquid that came out from his nose. Fuck off! He thought. Just before going to the grocery store! Hell. It took him five minutes to go find some public restroom. So he could try to remove the smudge of blood. Looks like I have to say goodbye to this. He held his shirt in front of the mirror. Then he looked at himself, in silence. Usually, he was a healthy man, with strong muscles. He still had some, but compared to some months ago, he seemed so thin. But what made him being so careless about himself? It wasn't the studies. Studying to become a doctor was hard for everyone, but not at this point. He was lost in his own prison of thoughts. A deep feeling of empty space went through his chest. A hole that couldn't be plugged in his heart. Suddenly, tears started dripping down from his eyes. His knees fell down on the floor. But he came back to reality as fast as he got lost. Woah, woah, woah, what am I doing? I've never been depressed at this point. I mean, I am not depressed. Yes that's right. I am not, I'm only a bit tired because of school. That's all. Hugh.. I need some beers. And coffee. Leorio washed his face and wore his blooded shirt. He loosen his tie before going out, because he was hot. And he got a small headache. Nothing serious, apparently.

- It will be 600 jenny, sir.

Beer, coffee, bread.

Leorio took his wallet and went to pay. He didn't have that much money left though. He knew he could make money quickly by himself, he was a hunter after all. But studies took him so much time. Something tragic certainly had to happen to make a man greedy of money having such a lack of interest about it. But it didn't mean anything for him. Debts. He lived in poverty as a child and he was only 19. As he walked outside the store, he felt a heavy weight on his shoulders that make him fall again. He couldn't think about anything that his vision became blurry. He didn't even feel the pain. He had a black out.

Leorio finally went to his apartment. He tidied the stuff he bought and picked up a beer. After he fell on the ground, he's been unconscious for five minutes before waking up. He was still laying on the ground with the grocery store manager who begged him to wait for an ambulance. Leorio refused it and thanked the man for his kindness. Then, one of his school friends, Ben, who was there insisted to take him to his place. They went at Leorio's apartment and he left him inside. Actually, Leorio was tired but didn't want to go to bed. He just kept working as always. Yeah, in fact, studying was a drug for him. He couldn't stop himself when he started. It made him not overthink about his situation. Every solution to forget his pain was a good solution. Beers and coffee were part of it. Leorio kept repeating to himself that what he was doing was good. He was one of the most hard-working students at his school. Then of course, it was obviously a good thing. No matter how much time and efforts he put in it. He heard his coffee machine beeping and went to take his coffee before going to his desk. Yes, I'm doing the right thing.

Almost three hours have passed. Leorio was still studying hard. Nothing could stop him. But as he kept writing lines and lines of medical knowledge on the papers, he started hearing something strange. But... That must be my imagination, it's already very late he thought. He didn't mind it.
