The Surprise

Camila is taking me for a walk along the pond across town. This pond was our favorite place as teenagers. We would hide under the trees until our curfews came.

Tonight Camila and me sat under the same tree as when we first met. She even brought my favorite lemonade and pizza.

Maybe I should have expected something more fancy but this was Camila. This is why I love her. She doesn't need anything fancy and I dont either.

I brought you here because whenever you asked me to marry you that day in your house i came here. I came here and All of Our memories flooded my mind. Lauren youbare my other half and honestly when im not with you I am lost. Camren was a big deal when we were kids because it was us. Camren was my representation of us being real.
Now thats not enough because my love for you is so strong. Lauren this will be my third time asking but this time I want you to know it is not going to stop. And I know we both lost our little Lolo but Maybe us moving on will somehow make it easier to deal with. By this point Camila was crying and clutching the charm necklace witch contained Lily's pictures in it. I pulled her into my arms and kissed her on the head repeatedly.

I wanted to hold her and make her stop crying. Let her know that she is okay amd I love her but she quickly pushed me back a little and wiped her eyes. Be for I knew it she was opening a ring box and this time I didnt see any reason to deny myself my one true love.

I nodded and she smiled big taken the ring out gently and sliding it onto my finger. I admired the simple yet gorgeous ring.

We stayed there a little longer looking out over the water until the sun was setting. When it began to set we decided to walk around the lake before leaving.

We passed the tennis courts and made our way to the playgroud. Hand in hand enjoying the sound of the kids when we Camila's phone rang.

Camila's eyes teared up and I felt my heart panic as many things ran through my head. She handed me the phone and I took it.

Hello...?

Mrs. Jauregui?

That is uh me? Who is this?

I am Dr. Hobbs. I have a patient a child by the name of Lily here and she is in very bad condition. I have her in the ICU. The orphanage said I should contact you. She is at Lyndon Hospital.

I felt my body ache and for a moment I though I was going to fall over and just die. But I felt Camila place a hand on my back to steady me.

We rushed to the car immediately and I decided I would drive because Camila seemed to be dazed. I took her hand in mine wanting to relay that I am here for her. When we arrived we both rushed in hand in hand up to the desk. The lady told us she would get a doctor by I didn't want to wait.

I felt myself getting impatient and did not leave the desk. I stood so the lady would hurry but she acted as if I wasn't there. I started to get angry but Camila walks into my arms I felt all my anger stop and I held her firmly. My rock now needed me. And yes I needed Lily but so did Camila and I now understood how important my family is too me. I couldn't lose Camila.

Here I am not knowing a thing except my daughter is in ICU with my fiance broken in my arms.
