Tomorrow is thanksgiving and dont get me wrong it is great to be back with my family I just wanted wanted to spend a day at the children's home for some reason. I had always wondered how the kids there must feel during holidays. No parents no family, I even heard they dont get a real thanksgiving meal. Just a few turkey slabs.

When I reached the home there were some older kids playing basketball and soccer. They seemed around 15-17 and seemed to be having a great time. I watched with amusement at their  excitement as I walked to the home entrance.

When I walked in I saw a lady leading some toddlers to the door.

You must be our guest...lauren right? I am Stacy

The lady introduced herself and invited me to follow along with the small children. They were so cute and adorable. Each one had a diffrent toy. Hula hoop, soccerball, jump rope. But one little girl had a book. For some reason that caught my attention.

When we reached the playground area all the children scattered to play. Although the little girl with the book went to a nearby tree and sat down opening it. She was immediately drawn in and watched the pages intensely as if watching a movie.

After a little while of watching the girl Stacy asked me to go in and meet some of the pre teen children. I agreed and went in to the kids playing air hockey and pool. Some recognized me resulting in me signing a few things. I was happy to be meeting fans and such but for some reason I wanted to return to the bench I once sat in. Watching that little girl.

After about an hour Stacy informed me that all the children will be gathering to eat and requested I sing some songs. I agreed happily hoping to see her again. I was led to a stage where I watched from a stool staff bring in all the diffrent age groups. Finally the toddlers came in sitting right in front of me. My heart stopped when she found her was right in front of me sitting down with her book in her lap.

The food was passed around and I got ready to preform keeping my eyes on her playing mostly with her food. I decided I would first sing heart attack by Demi Lovato and immediately all the teens reacted singing along. She never looked up once. Then I sang shake it off by Taylor swift. As I began she looked up making eye contact. I smiled and continued singing as she watched me. Looking down every few minutes before looking back up at me.

When i finished children rushed up having me sign their arms and notebooks. I got caught up and didnt even notice her until she stood a few feet away from me clutching her book to her chest. All of the kids rushing by sent her rocking every time she got bumped. She looked so adorable and startled causing me to act.

I stood up rushing too her

Hey sweetie did you want something signed?

She only nodded carefully holding out her book for men to take while she looked down.

What is your name?

She answered quietly still looking down causing me to not hear her.

I reached my hand out lifting her chin so she would look up.

Sweetie I couldn't hear you dont be shy.

Lily

Lily...i know her name now. I signed her book and asked her if she would like to go up to her room and show me her other books. She only smiled and took my hand leading me up a stair case. We entered this room with about ten bunk beds lined along the wall. She sat on the last one causing the bed to squeak as she pulled a few books out from under her pillow. She had many children's books. She looked through each one carefully as I watched her.

I must have watched her read for a couple of hours because she soon fell asleep. I layed on my back across her bed as she slept soothingly on my tummy gripping my T-Shirt. I kissed her fourhead as I pulled out my phone.

Mom? Its lauren. I um I dont know exactly how to say this but, I want to adopt a child...

The line fell silent causing me to grow anxious as she said nothing. I looked down at the little girl on my abdomen and confirmed my thoughts. I want her. Finally my mother spoke.

Lauren? Darling me and your father have always known you'd be a good mother. And we can not wait. Just make sure you are sure about this. You are so young. And you are always traveling.

Mom I need this little girl. It is like I see myself in her. Her eyes and smile. I know this is a spur of the moment thing mommy i just feel so protective over her. I need to do this.

Okay Mija we trust you. We will be waiting for you two. We cant wait to meet her. Text us sizes? Tay and Chris will go shopping.

With that I hung up and looked back at Lily. Time to go make this official.
