Chapter 23: Operation Hogsmeade 2.0

"We should have used the map the first time," Fred said.

"Or the cloak of invisibility," Harry chimed in.

"Why didn't you tell me you had those???" Harley's eyes widened, clearly exasperated. "I've only known of this whole magic thing for less than a year, I didn't know there was a magical map of Hogwarts," looking at Fred and George.

"Or a cloak that can make you invisible!" She looked at Harry, looking stressed, "I had to go and sneak into the library's restricted section trying to look for an spell that could transport us out of Hogwarts despite its plethora of charms and spells clearly stopping us from doing so. I went through all that and we ended up in Bacon Ville, rolling around in mud!"

The three boys remembered that ordeal with a slight shudder.

"Honestly, we just wanted in on your mischief," George admitted, "something new and clever."

Harley shrugged, okay, that's a fair answer. She looks at her brother for his explanation.

"I... I got excited and forgot I had it?" Harry looked embarrassed as he admitted, seeing Harley's eyes widen again with an unreadable expression.

"Fine, okay, okay, so, how do we properly get to Hogsmeade this time?" Harley asked. Everyone else had already left for the wizard village except the four, so they were alone in the common room.

Fred held his hand out for the map, "If you please."

Harley took out the map from her robe's pocket, handing it to the red head. He saw George take out his wand tapping it, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

They laid out the map as lines and names started to appear on the parchment and everyone leaned in.

"Is that...?" Harry pointed out.

"Dumbledore."

"In his study."

"Pacing."

"He does that a lot," Harley chimed in with a nod.

Harry looked at her, confused.

"I may have found the map one day. I didn't know about the exits though!" Harley said. "They've had it since their first year," referring to the Weasley twins.

Harry shook his head, his interest back on the map as George pointed out the One-Eyed Witch's statue. "This exit leads to Honeyduke's cellar," he says.

The sweet smell of sugar, chocolate, and fruity delights filled Harley's nostrils as they exited the cellar doors of Honeyduke's. She and her brother followed behind the Weasleys, who Ambrosius Flume greeted with a wide smile as he saw the four come through his light green cellar door.

"George, Fred! Wondered when you'd come around," the old man cheered, "And who may these be?"

"Ambrosius, this is Harley and Harry," Fred said.

"It's their first time in Hogsmeade," Greg added.

"Well I'm sure you'll both have a great time," the old man smiled warmly before he rang up another Hogwarts student with an armful of sweets.

"See you, Ambrosius!" The twins called out as they all walked out of Honeyduke's, the lovely old man waving at them as they went.

"Right, well, off you two go," Fred said as they made it outside, already making his way to Zonko's Joke Shop.

"We'll meet you two back here at 4," George said before following his brother.

Harry and Harley walked around, visiting every shop they came by. Gladrags Wizardwear had fuzzy socks that Harley adored, and definitely bought when she found out that screamed when it got too stinky. She was proud that her feet never got stinky, but the novelty and humour of it was very appealing to the 13 year old.

They were in Zonko's for quite a while too. Fred and George told them about their favourite prank paraphernalia, also how either one of the Potters could recreate certain potions and pranks with stuff they could find ("borrow") from Professor Snape and Professor Sprout. Harry noticed how in their element Fred and George looked, being the head pranksters of the entire castle. the younger twins wanted to say goodbye before they left but Fred and George were busy chatting away with Lee, to which they looked at each other and shrugged as they exited the store.

The Potter twins made their way into Sprintwitches Sporting Needs, both marveling at the different Quidditch gear.

"Do you need new gloves?" Harry asked holding a black pair up for Harley to see.

She shook her head, "Have you got broom wax?" She held up a tin.

Harry shook his head, "I've still got some from Hermione's gift," he stated.

"We don't need new brooms, do we?" Harley asked as she saw the prices of the ones on display, "It's like a bicycle, right? You don't really buy a new one until the one you have is broken beyond repair?"

Harry nodded with a small laugh, "Yeah, just like a bicycle. I keep on forgetting this is all new to you," he admits.

She shrugs, "You've only known about being a wizard two years more than I did, I can catch up," she says with a smile as proceeds to look at other wizard sporting goods and hobby sets. "Would you happen to know which one of us is older?" She wondered out loud.

"No, not really." Harry never really thought of it, if he was being honest.

"That's good for us," Harley concludes with a nod, playing with the wizard's chess pieces.

"And why's that?" Harry looked at his sister, amused.

"Fred always uses his being the older twin to win his arguments," she rolls her eyes returning the moving knight back in its place on the chessboard, "At least we don't get to use that when we argue."

Harry laughed, "I guess so. Ron and I play wizard's chess," he pointed out.

"Can you two teach me?"

"Sure," he nods, "Ron's brilliant at it, he even got us to win the house cup on our first year coz he won against McGonagall's giant wizard's chess board when we looked for the Philosopher's stone."

Harley looked at him, blinking in confusion, "I know about the mirror but—"

Harry laughed, "Come on, let's get some butterbeer."
