Ava's pov

I woke up to the bright sunlight coming in through the open window. I stretched and yawned trying to get strength back to my bone. Just like him, Loren wasn't by my side when I woke up.

I got down from the bed and almost toppled over the table he set beside the bed. I picked up the note he left and his joke was all about me taking my medicine after eating the food already set for me. Maybe I woke up so late that everything was already done.

I quickly took my bath, ate the food and medicine, and rushed downstairs with the hope of meeting him knowing he would be so busy. The first person I met downstairs in the sitting room was Sayers as he was chatting casually to Michalina.

"Finally awake."

I ignored him and sat down facing Michalina. "Hi."

She blushed and I know I saw clear mischief in her eyes.
"You slept long, good that you're awake."

"Hey, what are you both talking about? Didn't I wake up in the normal time?"

Sayers indicated the clock with his head and I was too surprised to find out I woke up after 1 in the afternoon. I scratched my back head awkwardly.

"He told us to leave you sleeping. You probably exhausted yourself in the night." Michalina was smiling broadly and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed about how she misinterpreted the situation.

"He also looked so worn out, tell me was it till this morning before you guys slept." Sayers looked directly into my eyes while asking.

"Did Loren tell you guys anything more than not waking me up?"

They both shook their head and I got up while nodding. "So you both assumed we ended up in a heated argument last night."

"What?" They said in unison and I scoffed.

"You had something else in mind?" I raised a brow questionably at them.

They both remained silent and I take that as a win. "Am going outside for a bit."

"No no no no... You can't go outside."
I looked at Sayers's hand on my arm as he tried to stop me.

"Why can't I go outside?"

"Because the alpha is worried that you might faint again. So today he recommends bed rest."

"He recommended bed rest? Okay if I can't go out send him over I need to talk to him."

"I will simply give you his number to call him."
Michalina stepped up and was already searching through her phone to find his number.
I brought out my phone wordlessly and called him.

"Don't bother I have his number already."
I waited but he didn't respond so I was angry.

"Don't try to stop me because I am going out now."

No one tried stopping me so I easily went out of the house. I came out and met a large crowd practicing, I just wondered who practiced in the afternoon. I began searching for him but I couldn't sight him so I kept searching through the open space. I saw Hugo who was teaching a wolf how to do a flip, well it was pretty amazing seeing how the poor thing tried so hard.

"Hi, Hugo."
He looked up at me before wiping his sweat with his backhand.

"Hello, little one."
I didn't know if I was little but I still walked closer.
