After the fall of the Possession Master, Millennia is left craving recovery. The damages left behind by the Thanatos War are immense, though the path to tomorrow is lined with light. Luce and her companions of the Second Camaraderie are returning to Alitia for their second semester with hopes of peace after the fighting. However, their break is short-lived after the assassination of the future queen of Igni. S.M. is quickly drawn into the incident, accused of being the one to take the princess's life. Soon after, a group of generals from Igni called the Alight Five begins to pursue the girls, each member wrapped in more mystery than the last. Legends of a group of war heroes from decades prior are surfacing as well leaving countless questions lingering unanswered. The Second Camaraderie is being called into action once again, though none can say what lies at the end of their campaign. Regardless of the answer, Moonlight yet remains, ready to swallow them completely...

With the conflicts on Etruna and Pyre finally over, the Second Camaraderie returns to their regular lives at the Millennium Six. The specter of war hangs heavily over them everywhere they go though, a reminder of the fight they know they will need to participate in soon. Before they can prepare too much for the war against the Church of Starlight though, another battle comes their way. A civil war has broken out on Loduke, and Anneliese and Iris have been caught in the middle of it. A faction of revolutionaries claiming to be descended from a branch of the royal family seeks to usurp the Tiabeanie line, and they will stop at nothing to win the battle for control of the planet. However, something dark surrounds the war, and it quickly becomes clear that someone in Anneliese's life is a traitor aiming to bring her to ruin. The Second Camaraderie refuses to leave Loduke on its own, preparing to fight in a yet another war as the end of their second year fast approaches. The path to catastrophe is a dark and lonely one, and they have no choice but to walk it.

The Second Camaraderie's second year at Alitia has officially begun, opening a new chapter in each of their lives. After the chaos of their freshman year, everyone in the group is looking for peace... A peace they will not find quite yet. Meanwhile, the Second Camaraderie begins their journey to reach the Illunae level in earnest, and they will need all the new power they can get if they want to end this fight. Along the way, Luce's search for Dawn continues, and the truth of the past seems to be just out of reach in every way imaginable. In order to ease the war of Etruna and finally find peace for all, the Second Camaraderie seeks new strength even from the unlikeliest of sources.

With the battle on Fortunia in the past, the Second Camaraderie finally has the chance to enjoy a break from the combat the last year has brought them. However, what should be a cheerful reunion brings them tragedy in the form of news from Rivergold: the planet is dying, and a peculiar mage bathed in oil is actively destroying it inside out. Simultaneously, people across the magical universe begin to disappear for unknown reasons. Luce and the rest of her group follow Cessair's request to try and save the dying planet by fighting off the mage that is destroying the peace and oceans, given the parallel task of finding the disappeared people by a mysterious society of mages and the royal family of Rivergold. The truth hides in darker places than they could have ever expected though, and not everyone is who they appear at a first glance.

With Etruna's queen dead and its people split, the planet of Pyre intends to take control to expand its empire. Helena and Carys, lost after learning their family's dark history, are left floundering and uncertain as to how to keep fighting. The rest of the Starlight Camaraderie stands at their backs to win the day, but the battle quickly proves itself much more challenging than they could have ever imagined. With only a handful of them at the next level of magic, they struggle massively to keep out of the hands of their foes. The Millennium Six are left as Pyre's prime targets due to grudges from nearly three decades prior, and every student is forced to fight for their life and their freedom beneath the regime. Minerva and Leviathan grapple with the past as they seek whatever fragile peace they can pull from their horrific past together. Meanwhile, Luce and Cryon continue to search for Dawn while outrunning the demands of the Church of Starlight... And for the first time in nearly twenty years, their search brings them closer to the phantom they seek.

When graduation arrives though, an unexpected foe attacks, causing the Millennium Six to once again fall into turmoil. Sophia, the target of their newfound enemy, decides to flee for the sake of her companions, but the Second Camaraderie departs alongside her to ensure that no further disaster strikes. Meanwhile, Cryon's mercenary band from Amity also leaves their home behind due to consistent issues involving the Church of Starlight. In a trip across the universe, the two teams encounter danger, new horizons, and a plot from more than twenty years prior with the potential to change everything.

The Second Camaraderie has graduated from its second year at the Millennium Six, leaving only one year for them to conquer. The team's members scatter to the winds to their home realms for the sake of enjoying their last summer of peace before the war with Leora, but the calmness is not fated to last. A strange group of assassins begins to target them, forcing the group to reunite before they can truly savor their breath of peace. Old foes return from the shadows to launch attacks fueled by vengeance, and new enemies rise in the name of factions that refuse to die. In the shadows of Dawn's return, hidden forces plot against her and the Churches of Starlight and Moonlight, promising to bring about the downfall of all that anyone has ever known.
