James Kirk and his best friend get recruited to the USS Enterprise after a bar fight, then they meet the Southern Dr Mccoy onboard the shuttle to take them to the Starfleet Academy.

I thought Star Trek was just supposed to be a TV show. One near and dear to my heart, yes, but still only entertainment brought to live by dedicated actors and TV/Film-makers. So, tell me then, how is it that Captain Kirk and Spock are sitting on my couch, and the U.S.S. Enterprise is in my yard?

Jim Kirk had a reputation, one that includes one night stands and flirting with any pretty lady that walked by. It was a reputation that his friends in the Academy knew very well. When Tara Reese, one of those friends, finds out her ship is going to be at Starbase Yorktown while he's waiting on his new ship to be finished, she figures there's no harm in reuniting for a drink, for old time's sake? And maybe she can finally resolve the feelings that have been tugging on her heart all these years. What she doesn't realize that Jim Kirk has changed. His past few years of experience in the captain's chair - losing the father figure in his life, his own death, and now the loss of his ship - they've changed him. And now, Jim Kirk is ready for the biggest commitment of his life.

After failing the Kobayashi Maru test for the second time, James Kirk goes to a grill to get drunk. Instead, he hears a girl singing in the talent show that happened to be at the grill and is entranced. This is when he meet fellow Starfleet cadet Sarafine Thorn,, and falls head over heels for this blonde siren. Needless to say, things get more interesting from there. There is a new crew member on the ship, Spock treats her like a sister. Yet the Captain has yet to met her.

Sala is the only daughter of Sorren, a son of Vulcan, and Jeanette Bentley, a daughter of Earth. This makes her a daughter of two worlds, each hailing from different stars. Who and what she is, is a rarity of sorts. And because of that, she is picked on when she is young. This makes her choose to break "tradition" and join Starfleet. After she graduates, she meets a young man by the name of James Tiberius Kirk. And she doesn't expect just how much meeting this man is going to change her life.
