When the core of a Utopian society starts to question their own ways the community is thrown into chaos. This is basically part of "The Giver" told in the Givers point of view. It was supposed to capture the voice of a wise, tired old man. It was another school project that I decided to share. Hope you like it :)

Gerig is just your average peasant, working hard to harvest the fields that feed the lord of his kingdom. Things are the same as always until he finds something weird in on of his traps. His name is Merrec, a dwarf from another land. Gerig has never seen a dwarf before, but the little man is scared, alone and afraid of being captured and turned into a freak show to please kings and queens. Unwilling to let the dwarf fend for himself, Gerig takes him home and tends to his wounds. Unable to walk, Gerig decides to take Marrec home himself, to the undiscovered Kingdom of the Dwarfs.

When his brother dies in a mysterious accident, Daniel Gibson inherits the responsibility of caring for two kids. Something that he has problems with considering his dangerous occupation...

Basically Jonas and Gabriel end up in another community where it is not affected by Sameness and weather control. I am aware that there are other books but I have not known that when I finished this.
