With all the rawness and authenticity of "A Book of Rhyme, Rhythm, and Time," "Life When Living Awake" is a sunrise after a dark night, looking at the hurt behind happiness and the heartache behind the joy that pushes us into tomorrow.

Maybe I'm dead. But still breathing.

I don't know if I would exactly call all of what i'm going to write in here poetry. it will be my best shot at poetry but I am nowhere near a poet and I am experimenting with it and trying to learn how to write it. I want to find my own style and voice. Thoughts and feelings and mushy stuff my parents never taught me how to handle and deal with.
