After the world ends, a new one begins, becomes corrupt, and falls apart again. The Phoenix rises from the ashes, and somehow new societies re-emerge. (Post-dystopia, because we all know those horrible places are going to be overthrown and fall apart, but then what?) Meet Silas, a Misfit who has only ever known life in a bunker; Dahlia, his closest friend, who has loved him her entire life. And Ixlaina, a lovely, robot-programming mystery, who holds all the secrets of Phoenix- the city that should no longer exist- and some secrets of her own.

This is just an experimental, scifi, short story I wrote a couple years ago. I was thinking about how we write stories and just like why? Why do we do it the way we do? Why does it have to be inner thinking, action, dialogue and description? So I decided to try to write a story with only dialogue. So read it, let me know what you think, maybe I'll write some more short stories.

In the aftermath of a robotic invasion over the human species on Earth, a group of people created a new world on a different planet. Since the robots are a failed idea, they created machines to produce humans using the raw materials required to create life, and named them Perfects and called themselves the Lords of this new world. These Perfects are humans who are produced by machines that remove their thinking of freewill and freedom, thereby obeying the Lords' orders without going against them. But nothing is perfect! The machines occasionally leave the produced humans with a glitch and that gives the Glitchers, freewill. The Lords want them to be dead but they eventually create a place for the Glitchers to live, so that the Lords can study their behaviour and assess the threat that these types of glitches may cause. Also, the people produced in this world are only males. All the knowledge from Earth is hidden to the Glitchers. Now, the Glitchers live in various towns in the Glitchers' land called Errania and each town has rules of its own. There is nothing called as a family here. The life of Glitchers is miserable. So, will they find a way for happiness?

Shortlisted for a national award, and now a published book on Amazon! This Wattpad version is now a free preview of a book described as "Mad Max crossed with the Magic School Bus" ... read on to find out more! ***** If it hadn't been for the man in white body paint appearing out of the darkness, my Bus would now be a broken steel carcass in a smoking hole. Someone set a landmine in ambush for the Library vehicle, a mobile repository of information saved from before the War. A beacon of knowledge in the ashes of civilisation, and my sole responsibility. Someone tried to take it from me. To stop the flow of free information. To steal from the people scratching out a living on the dusty frontier, just one cloudship delivery away from desiccation. Now, other Keepers are missing. And not just Keepers. People have been disappearing from camps and settlements scattered across the outback. Why didn't we know about it? The Library is supposed to know everything. That's its whole purpose, to save and share knowledge. Isn't it? I have to warn New Pearth. After all, this is what I was trained for. Though the Library could never have predicted a plot this savage, or this well-organised.But first, with only a psychotic ex-slave and a digital ghost to help, I have to survive the trip... ***** The Knowledge Keeper is perfect for fans of speculative fiction who are looking for a fresh, more optimistic and less dystopian take on a post World War Three and climate change action thriller. Featuring a diverse cast of characters, from cranky airship pilots, snarky AIs, and badass teenage warrior librarians to a snakeskin-tattooed soldier called Gladys, it's been described as "Mad Max meets The Magic School Bus" -- you've never read anything like this before! Contains medium violence, mild language and drug references. Suitable for ages 13 and older.

'Ghostified City' by Bram Cools (also posted on his fiction blog 'Oranderra') is a post-dystopian tale set in a possible future of our world. In this very first chapter Adaman is walking home from work in a world that looks almost fake.
