I closed my eyes shut and breathed heavily to prevent myself from stabbing him with a butcher knife-although I know he could evade it anyway even if he's asleep. "But..." I quickly opened my eyes to look at him. It was faint and small. But I saw it-well, kinda. He smiled at me. He rarely does that to me nor the others. But this time, I got to see it again. "Maybe I could give you a chance." I smiled from ear to ear at his words. Will I finally...? "If you could pass this year's hunter exam." And I literally jaw-dropped. "W-WHAT?!"
