The story of Sirius Black's daughter and her journey at Hogwarts.

This is a very short story I had written in my AP American Literature class after writing an essay. The title was inspired by a message portrayed in Ralph Emerson's novel Invisible Man

Reina Teller never knew who her real family was, but that all changes when she goes to Hogwarts. She makes a bet, with the disgusting Draco Malfoy, that encourages her to discover who her real parents are with the help of a few other Slytherins. Will she be able to determine what really made her parents abandon her all those years ago? Will her hatred for Draco ever truly go away? I began this story when I was in 7th grade, but now I'm a freshman in college and am going through and editing everything. I'm publishing one chapter at a time so if the tone or grammar seems off at times, it's because it was written by a thirteen year old. I never finished this story but I plan to add new chapters as soon as I finish editing the originals. Thanks so much for reading!

The grass is greener on the other side. For Leah Edenwood, having a cozy home, a nice lawn and a glass of wine at the end of the day was the only thing she had to worry about. But one day after a stranger approaches her for a seemingly innocent reason, suddenly her world becomes far more complicated than that. Visitors who slither and leave symbols creep into her life. Nightmares that threaten her livelihood drain her energy. Too many strange things begin to happen and they bring along the baggage of a dark secret from her past. She thinks she should run, just leave it all but the aid of a handsome fellow Native slowly changes her mind. Now she has to solve the problem. Why has the curse been put on her and what do they really want? Abby's P.O.V : I was, without a doubt, the weaker of us two. We had joked around about things like this on end, but only because we never expected it to become a reality. We thought zombies were silly things created to feed creative imaginations. How could zombies even exist? How would one generate a human, yet not human, with a few less ordinary human traits and with a longing for actual humans’ flesh? Who said zombies wanted flesh, or even brains? We weren’t sure what they were after, but we didn’t want to find out, either. So when the undead, flesh-craving, humanity-ridden monster began striding toward us, I looked to my best friend in a panic, and watched her decapitate the monstrosity with a weed whacker. Life just got more interesting. Alicia's P.O.V : Somehow we only managed to live a normal life till we were fifteen. But during that fifteenth year, everything turned to chaos. The dead, they were everything but human anymore. But they walk. They bite. They kill and spread their disease to the unfortunate and the ones that aren't smart enough to survive. You know what they say, survival of the fittest. It isn't a joke anymore. This is a war between them and us.
