Windmills, community spirit, rooftop gardens - that is what young magician Enim knows. But when he travels out to the mountains, misery hits him in the face. Before he knows it, Enim gets adopted into a found family that is determined to take on the powerful owners, free the miners, and bring on a good life for all. The exact steps to saving the world are still a little unclear. But that won't stop anyone from rushing ahead! Between the politics of the capital and the instruments of magic, a tangled love-tie and a popular uprising, their snug group of orphan kids and the inner strength to ban a demon - will they finally make it happen?

When Aganju travels through a dusty village, she meets an orphaned teenage boy, Ibeyi, and this meeting changes both of their lives. Aganju is Orisha, practitioner of an ancient magic, on her way back to the Eye, where humans have studied for hundreds of years. Ibeyi is 14, awkward, and stands out in many ways, but mostly because of his appearance. The Above is the story of Ibeyi as he studies to become an Orisha at the Eye. It is a story about chosen family, about gender and the adventure of self-discovery. It is about the difficulty of defining oneself in a world full of preconceptions. But mostly, Ibeyi's story is about how the power of empathy can change the fate of multiple worlds.

The original idea for this project was to figure out how much land was needed to support a medieval village or a city when worldbuilding and it grew into a whole thing. Please take it and use it as need be. The idea is to build a Self Sufficient/Survival Garden that will meet the basic needs of a single person. I'll expand everything out as I learn and record more. This whole list is based on a temperate zone's climate. For someone living near the equator or in Alaska, this guide will be less useful. Additionally this guide won't take into account things like water consumption, dietary changes, allergies, difficulties in preserving food, dealing with pests, preserving seeds, dealing with thieves, or even soil management. The entire idea of this is to break down what the yield and square footage are given decent conditions. I recommend reading about square foot gardening, companion planting, farmers almanacs and books on perennials when it comes to finding out more information on all of these. I have also done much of these calculations assuming the average backyard. Calculating crop yields per 1000 square feet is convenient to me as the average American yard is roughly just under a quarter acre or 10,000 square feet. If anyone finds any major inaccuracies in this, please submit an edit with a source. https://docs.google.com/document/d/185ce-NgnVqCBpva3R7j6XRnzknZE22mWGJIT6bNkJMg/edit?usp=sharing
