Hiroki has had powers since he was young but clearly, this wasn't supposed to happen. Michi, the loner of his class, hates almost everyone, especially people like Hiroki who are attention seekers and fake. Except Hiroki makes it almost impossible to let it last long, something about Hiroki just makes him feel like he swallowed butterflies or something. Michi was convinced it was his powers but little did he know it was a different kind of magic.

While half asleep during her daughter's Saturday morning cartoons, Kate suddenly gets a strange feeling in the back of her mind. There's something new there... something exciting... an idea. My entry for the Hilroy #StartWriting contest. I used to wish for a singular moment when a truly brilliant character would enter my mind in a blinding flash, just as I had believed Harry Potter was created. But there's more to starting to write a story than that.

Everyone is unique to their personal process of writing and like my fellow writers we even use it to cope with our daily lives. To create, enjoy, and share. As someone who also copes with a mental illness, mine being BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), I have used writing as a way to connect with others and I hope sharing my thought process with everyone may show you a piece of my brain when I #startwriting. In these few lines I will be sharing with you guys my process of writing a story from the beginning to the end, and I will be sharing some lessons with you in the end of it, I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful.

A young girl was found dead during the Qing dynasty in China, blood covered the walls with the furniture all disturbed yet who exactly would kill this young innocent girl. Why is she dead? Who killed her? And why is the blood on the wall not her own?

Well basically what the title says.

I wrote these short value statements to help myself focus on the rewards of making art, and minimize discouragement. The simple values presented here are about intellectual and emotional honesty with oneself and others. These values are at the core of achieving satisfaction in the pursuit of art, whether it be visual, musical, lexical, or performative. --- 350 words
