When Nicholas and Alexandra Romanov become the Czar and Czarina of Imperial Russia during the 1890s, the couple must deal with cruel vampires, vicious werewolves, and the magical Trichenberg family as well as ruling over Russia. At the same time, the couple must also deal with their ward, Hadassah Trichenberg (the youngest daughter of the Trichenberg family) as her birth occurs when Nicholas's father Czar Alexander III dies. Hadassah's father Leo Trichenberg returns from a 10-year self-imposed exile to take control of the imperial court. And there's a conspiracy threatening to overthrow the Czar and replace him with a religious dictatorship.
