(Y/N) McKinnon was thought to be a normal girl with an attitude, she lives with her foster mother and her older brother, Joshua. (Y/N) wasn't sure she'd ever get a letter to Hogwarts like her brother but that all changed, when a barn owl flew into her kitchen window.

(Y/N) meets Harry and Ron on the train to Hogwarts and they become close friends. She then moves on to meet Hermione Granger, a very bright witch, and they swiftly become best friends.

Harry and (Y/N) have always had a different connection, one that formed when they first met. When Harry sees her again halfway through the summer holidays (3rd year), his feelings seem to expand into a way that consists of being more than friends. He doesn't want to ruin their friendship and he certainly doesn't want to act on these feelings if she doesn't like him back, what will happen?
