*For the purpose of this story, the characters from the Gaang have been aged up slightly. Putting Zuko at 20, Katara at 19 and Aang at 17*

An AU where Katara ends up with Zuko instead of Aang. This story takes place right after the events of ATLA. We follow Zuko as he navigates the intricacies of becoming the youngest fire-lord in history. Feeling bound by the weight that now rests on his shoulders, he begins posing as the Blue Spirit in an attempt to feel weightless once more. All the while, he seeks solace and advice from his good friend Katara, who is also struggling with the responsibilities of being the avatar's fiancé. Feeling as if she's losing her sense of identity, she begins masquerading as the Painted Lady in an effort to do more than just stand in Aang's shadow.
