The purpose of this was for the child to be the balance between divinity and mortals bringing eternal balance to the human and spirit realm. However, with the advancement of the human realm doing this has now become much more difficult for past generations Reincarnations have been easily corrupted and swayed from the path given to them whether it was by choice or by influence of an unknown evil the answer was never known.
Now after all the years of praying for forgiveness, the Kami have decided to begin a new cycle of reincarnation with a few extra precautions in place
