LEI'S POV
I fell into the white place or that's what I call it atleast in actuality it's a spirit bubble.
I haven't been in here maybe for two months now since the last spirit reached out the one that I was too late for that's the third one in 6 months... I gotta get better at this I can't keep-"HELP ....HELP ME" the female voice squealed interrupting my line of thought
I walked deeper into this blank page of a place. I began hearing those distorted voices I've learned to ignore but there was one calling out to me louder than the others
I heard laughter, the laughter of children to be exact could it be a the soul who's being attacked by its peers, no not quite this seems like a memory
"Why don't they like me, why do say that stuff to me ....WHY DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND ME!! " the voice painfully exclaimed
I know this voice but I don't know its owner but I'm certain I've heard it before
I feel a tap on my right shoulder to see her soul fully manifested in behind me in our school's winter uniform.
My eyes met hers they were a familiar shade of light brown and her brown semi straight hair gave me a feeling of deja vu. It's like I can almost see the amount of times she's passed me in the halls
"Help me" she mouths before disappearing
My blank sprit bubble turns into a familiar scenery that I know all to well, the school grounds
***************
I jolt awake covered in cold sweat to the depressing embrace of my math class
Immediately, I ran out of the class without saying a word I needed to get to the rooftop fast at least up there I could get better view and figure out where this girl I was.
I was sprinting up the stairs when I finally remembered who she was.
Her name was Inari Sano we went to elementary school together, from what I remember she was almost never at school and all of us made it very clear that she wasn't missed.
It makes my heart sting a bit just knowing that I was probably one of those children laughing in the memory I heard earlier, maybe it's the spirits giving me a second chance.
"You need to stop and think for a second, what if the same thing happens to you" my spirit guide insisted
"I can't just stand around and wait I have to go now I cant have another one of them becoming ushinatta (a lost)" I snapped back
"But my child you can't save them all and if you didn't save one just be thankful that your in their place", my guide spat back
I couldn't reply back after all he was right
I made it to the roof and to my surprise there she was with her light brown eyes filled with tears
I tried to step closer but between us there was a spiritual energy.
I couldn't help but wonder if it's protecting her or it could just be a lost that is attached to her
I took a step forward, but the energy moved between me and her,
'Please if you mean her well, step aside I followed the voice of her pleading soul, I do not seek to harm her" I whispered as calmly as I possibly could
"Maybe it's for a reason, maybe you should just leave" my guide uttered
I have to stop her.
I-I can't leave.... if I leave her now soul would be lost forever
