(Name) is the daughter of the head of the Egyptian royal advisors and servants, and Queen Tuya's most trusted childhood friend. Born at the palace, she assumed the roles of her mother's maid services and grew up alongside Prince Ramses, working to serve her majesties and admittedly being Ramses only friend. As the years went by, the pair grew closer and soon both were smitten for one another. However, the ancient royal traditions, hierarchical expectations and the pressure of his Pharaoh father are the only things that keep Ramses and (Name) from being more than just 'friends' and admitting their true feelings. After Ramses is promoted to Prince Regent, and gifted a sought after marriage suitor by the high priests, (Name's) world comes crumbling down as he accepts the marriage offering. Is Ramses too devoted to pleasing his father and their empire, or does he truly love (Name)? Author Note: I think I'm 24 years late to The Prince of Egypt fandom, but we all thought Ramses was hot back in the day, admit it. Just to clarify, I completely understand that he is a biblical menace, however I loved how the movie wrote him as a multi-dimensional villain you could sympathize with. I wanted to imagine what his life could have been like alternatively if he wasn't corrupted like he was in the second half of the movie. So boom, romance fanfic. If you would not like to imagine him as Ramses from the film, feel free to envision anyone else as the prince. Check out my Quotev @aeri9022 where I have quizzes and this story is also available!
