With the death of the Illusionist Augustus Porter, Helios Skullbrew finds himself possessed by a demon spirit, Kalos, when he freed her from the bonds of an old book found in the Bonesborough library.
    
    Persuaded by her corruption, he sets out to resurrect Augustus, at the cost of lives, and a continual risk to his mental sanity, as the Truth, shows Helios the meaning of life, and how meaningless it all is.
    
    They who waited patiently for Helios, the Truth were able to completely show him the in-concreteness of life, but they did not take him.
