Chapter 4 - The Case of Dr. Kalos and Mr. Skullbrew
Gus had been resurrected by Helios Skullbrew using Blood Magic by the influence of a demonic spirit, Kalos.
After we ripped Kalos out of Helios, he hasn't woken up since.
I called Eda and Lilith earlier when we were watching Helios do the ritual in secret, since they know what to do.
I didn't know what to do: his eyes were dark red and his skin was white, and his mouth was black and frothing.
Eda and Lilith arrived.
"Alright, what's going on here?" Eda asked. "Twerpledee?"
"Hi Eda." Gus said.
"Eh... Back from the dead so soon?" Eda asked, confused.
"Yeah, but it feels weird." Gus said. "I mean, it's great that I get to see my friends again, but I told him. I told Helios not to use Blood Magic."
"He used Blood Magic?" Eda asked, shocked.
"Yeah." Gus said. "And... well?"
Eda looked over Helios' body, which had been spazzing at random intervals for some time now.
"Well, I guess that explains one thing. Not sure about his seizure-ly state, though." Eda said, who could now afford, and did, to breathe a bit easier now she understands vaguely about what's going on. "Luz, what happened?"
"I... I don't know." I said. "Everything is happening all at once, and I'm confused."
"Well." Eda said. "We need King and Steve for this."
"Yeah, it seems like they'd know what to do." Luz said.
"Hunter, are you ok?" Gus asked.
"It's just... I don't know." Hunter said. "You're supposed to be dead, you know? I mean, I'm glad you're alive. But doesn't it feel... weird?"
"Yeah, it does, actually." Gus said. "Everything is so confusing.
It's anything but simple, Hunter!
And now Helios... Helios...
...oh God."
"What?" Hunter asked. "What is happening to Helios?"
"He's..." Gus said: "I don't know."
"You don't know?" Hunter asked.
"I mean, eh, I do, but-" Gus said: "I mean, I have a theory... I just hope I'm wrong."
