Mariai is a girl who is completely broken. Her mother gets killed right in front of her on her birthday leaving a shallow shell of the once joyful girl. Years past, things aren't as they were. Her father turns abusive and bitter towards her and her siblings. With no choice left, a dreadful decision is made, and all go their separate ways leaving the past behind. On the journey to start a new, Mariai lands in an unknown location.
