Izuku had a rough childhood. He was fed lie after lie. He was abused by his entire school for being quirkless. He was degraded by the only people he ever looked up to.

Izuku was then declared dead. Death by suicide.

Of course, that wasn't really the case. He had enough. His eyes finally opened and he learned the truth.
