    A deal with a demon.
    A long list of lies.
    Broken promises.
    More dark and edgy sounding phrases.
    The Pines family has a lot it's hiding, and a lot that goes unsaid.
    The same could be said for the Ciphers, but they can all just read each others mind anyway so that doesn't matter. 
    Besides that, when two heirs (technically one is an heir and the others just the oldest kid in the family, but that's besides the point) meet, literally everything they know as their normal, changes.
