Irrational treasure

a/n: okay so I don't write this all at once so I forgot for a chunk of the story that Dipper was a character in it so I just kinda pushed him around a bit and made him kinda lame 

Blame my uncaffinated ass at 2 am man I'm sorry

 Admittedly, explaining the whole "I made a deal, He's my friend" was not very fun for Bill nor Dipper (although he was glad it was on Bill's end of the family and not his) but it got a lot of things out of the way.

Aaron wasn't very... sure.. about Dipper, and called him out on the abundance of pop tarts he had taken (which Dipper offered to pay for, Aaron refused) but in the end, just sighed and asked the two of them to just be safe, and to not.. blow things out of proportion. "people in this town can be... sensitive to thins like that. And at times, it's like it messes them up so bad, they just don't acknowledge it again.." He trailed, before blowing the air and pushing his hair out of his face. "I hope you two just are being careful." "We are. We don't really show up around town, and if we do, he's usually in hiding." Bill reassured, and that seemed to be the end of the conversation.

A couple days later, Aaron sat in traffic as the boys in the back were eating corn chips. Will took two and used a little bit of sticky tape to put them on his ears. "Nacho earrings! I'm hilarious!" Bill grinned and stared out the window, Aaron honking the horn multiple times. "Geez, what is with the traffic?? Why is it all frigging...FUCK. IT's not this week, is it??" Aaron rummaged around in his blazer and pulled out a calendar. He then groaned really loudly, before slamming his forehead onto the horn. Aaron made a noise that sounded like a mix between a whine and a groan, while Bill and Will got out of the car. They looked around the town that was decked out in old-timey stuff. "Man the town looks crazy." Bill remarked, pulling out a post card. He looked over, as guys moved dirty glass though the town. "Ah boy. Pioneer day. Everyone dresses up like idiots to celebrate the day the town was founded."

Toby walked over to where they were all standing, and held out a newspaper. "Welcome to 1863!" "I will break your face, little man!" Aaron threatened.

Will looked around, his interests piqued. "Candle dipping! Gold panning! Woodpecker marri-woodpecker marriage?" Bill looked over, a few questions in mind, but decided not to ask. "Man you can marry a woodpecker but I can't marry a dude? That's crazy.." Bill muttered to himself, pulling out the journal he had slightly neglected.

He had noticed the entries from Bill 3 and 4, which he failed to find and destroy, and realized he definitely hadn't studied the thing as much as he should've been. Dipper offered to help him with it, with mostly came from a desire to decode and read everything inside, which Bill refused.

Snapping out of the trance he had been in, he walked over to where the opening ceremonies where the Westnorths sat on stage. "So that's her?" Bill asked Will, pointing to Veronica, who sat on stage. Will nodded, and Aaron started walking the other way. "Aaron where are you going?"

"Anywhere but here." Bill made a "hm" sound and turned back to the ceremony. Deputy Durand was on stage, ringing a bell like crazy, Blubs watching him with love. Some moron in the crowd immediately snatched a purse while no one was watching, and when she called for the police to retrieve it, they ignored her.

Dipper, who had stowed away in Bill's pocket, used one of his spells, (and bill holding his leg out to trip the guy) to retrieve the purse. He gave it back to her, there returned to his spot, high five-ing the tiny tree with his pinky.

Veronica walked up to the mic, hitting it a few times before speaking and putting on the show voice. "You all know me, Veronica Westnorth, the great-great-granddaughter of town founder Wendell Westnorth! I'm also very rich." The crowd clapped, Willa Westnorth waving a flag and Walter Westnorth clapped. He looked a bit off but nobody really liked him enough to care.
